Great Monitor!

Previous ViewSonic monitors I've had would die at about 1 year. Reviews on this series seem to indicate this was fixed so decided to try again as while they are working the monitors are excellent. I might have just have had a run of bad luck. Not a...

Very sharp picture. No dead pixels. Color representation is great - can see the blues, reds, and yellow with no apparent color shift to one or the other (I say apparent because I'm using my eyes and not equipment). No ghosting during gaming at all. I...

Con for New Egg - the monitor was shipped in its original box with no cover box or "peanuts" for protection. The box was much worse for the trip including the Styrofoam being cracked on the inside. Monitor arrived fine, but, to me, there was a higher...

Not that great

To put the cons in perspective, I hooked up my old 19" Viewsonic with it's equally old DVI cable using the same exact video graphic settings and I'm now getting that ultra clear sharp image I was hoping for on the new monitor... I don't know, maybe I...

Widescreen, secure packing. Speakers work with HDMI cable (no extra audio cable required)

Recommended setting stinks as do other resolutions - none of them produced the crystal clear sharp images that I've come to expect from Viewsonic monitors based on past monitors from them ; 1080P has a full inch of empty black screen on the left &...

NICE!!!

I am replacing a Samsung 22 inch monitor that I also got from Newegg and it went kaput in 2 years. It was good while it lasted but I think this Viewsonic will be more reliable. I have used Viewsonic brand monitors at work and even the old ones still...

Great Monitor for watching movies and videos. I got it via ups in 3 days and took all of 5 minutes to have it up and running. I used the hdmi connection and WOW what a picture! I already have a surround system so I really don't need the speakers but...

NOT FREE!! (I like that because a lot of people use it as their con.)

ViewSonic X Series VX2439WM 23.6" 2ms HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 100,000:1(1000:1) Built-in Speakers

If this is your first time installing a monitor, DO NOT CONNECT ALL THE CABLES AS SHOWN ON THE QUICK START GUIDE. You only need one video cable and the speaker cable if you choose to use the monitors built in speakers. IF you decide to use an HDMI...

Nice color once you figure out how to adjust it, see cons, and doesn't seem to be any dead pixels that I can find. Reasonably nice monitor for the price and there are a lot of low cost good monitors on the market now. Built in speakers are Okay but I...

Total lack of instructions can be a real problem if you are a beginner. There is one "Quick Start" sheet that shows a picture of all 3 video cables and speaker cable hooked up at the same time. Very misleading if you have never installed a monitor...

ViewSonic X Series VX2439WM 23.6" 2ms HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 100,000:1(1000:1) Built-in Speakers

As of today I don't believe one can find a better price for the quality than this product...remember it is only 2 ms refresh rate most are 5. I said today because these products change daily. LOL

No glare....great depth, color, size, picture, & price

Took Two whole days to get it. LOL

High Failure Rate

I purchased 95 of these monitors for use in the office where I work. They were purchased in October 2010. As of March 1, 2011 we have had 11 fail in the same manner. All of them have a failure that seems to be related to the powersupply or the...

Nice screen sharpness, HDMI input, DVI and VGA input, built in speakers, 3 year warranty

High Failure Rate, Slow warranty replacement

Beautiful monitor!

Beautiful display, no dead pixels, fantastic definition. This is better than our household TV! Not bulky or heavy, yet the stand is sturdy. Tilt adjustment is great. This was a great choice for the money

Speakers are weak, but hey, I have my own. Also, the "HDMI and 1080p" logos are a bit big - how about a sticker I can remove? I bought it, I know what capabilities it has... Might be Sharpie time

The Cat's PJs

LED isn't all its cracked up to be. The monitors using LED backlights can be lighter and thinner, but don't neccessarily look better, especially on the cheaper end of the spectrum. The use less power (like $1 over a 17 year span could be saved....). I...

23.6" is the perfect size. Stepping up from a 21.5" (often called 22") is a big step. It's not LED backlit, but my last two monitors were. I decided on this ViewSonic instead of the LED version that was about the same price. I like that this model has...

The base. It seems a little weak, commensurate with much smaller and cheaper monitors. I prefer heavy monitors with METAL bases, preferably with height adjustment ; More irritatingly, two inches of bezel are used to display "HDMI" and "1080p - Full...

Love it!

I researched several different monitors before purchasing this one. I was downgrading from a 37" monitor that is slowly on its way out (bad ghosting :(). Anyway, this monitor is perfect. I'm actually going to purchase a second one asap and use dual...

Perfect size ; 1920x1080 resolution is great for everything. Gaming, internet browsing, watching movies, programming ; HDMI input

Only problem is the quality of the speakers, but it's a monitor. I just didn't like the volume I was getting, so I plugged up two desktop speakers instead. Not a deal breaker by any means

Wow...

This is my 4th Viewsonic monitor and all have been excellent.

Wow, this Viewsonic is outstanding. The clarity is so good with pictures, movies and data. Refresh rate leaves no trailing or ghosting

None
