Fanatec Headshot Controller/Mouse review: Fanatec Headshot Controller/Mouse

Comfortable; eminently customizable; combination of high-resolution mouse and custom pad makes for extremely smooth tracking; mouse pad doubles as USB hub.

Mouse essentially tethered to bulky mouse pad; almost nonexistent documentation; questionable "joystick emulator" feature.

It's hard-core and flashy, and it has lots of extra features. Unfortunately, the Headshot mouse will also keep you tethered to its giant plastic mouse pad. If you want to game on the go, give this mouse a pass.

Fanatec Headshot Controller

The Fanatec Headshot Controller is a mouse and mousepad combination from German manufacturer Fanatec. Usually such a combo is a low quality product, but not in this case. We were surprised by the excellent build quality which is on par, if not better,...

Great build quality, Great feel and weight, Carrying suitcase included, Mouse works perfectly on included pad, Well built pad, USB 2.0 ports included, Awesome lighting effects possible, Mouse can be parted, Very solid software, Great customizations...

Price is still more than you may want to spend, Complicated setup, Wheel could move a bit easier, Mouse surface a bit too smooth, Anything past 800 DPI is very sensitive, Spring cable is something you need to get used to

Fanatec is trying to supply the complete package at a, believe it or not, reasonable price. The Headshot mouse is of very high quality and can be considered even better than those of large companies like Logitech or Microsoft. The Headshot Controller...

Germaneering. That's a nice little play on words that Fanatec has copywrited to describe what they feel is the level of quality that they put into developing their products. We all know that over the years there have been some exceptionally well...

Accurate mouse ; Adjustable width ; Lots of buttons to program ; Simulates a joystick ; USB hub ; Comfortable

Cord kind of short ; User manual interactive only

Well, it was a long journey testing this mouse. With all of the options that are available, I have concluded that it is great for some of us, but not all. To hit on the good points first, at least to me, it was a very smooth mouse and pad combination...

Ding! Ding! Come out your corners fighting!Another gaming mouse enters the ring.

* Obviously I was just kidding. It's just some red oil-based lubricant for your gaming surface.

Fanatec Headshot Controller review

A poorly executed gaming set

Besides the coiled tail, there's little to like

Looks awful ; Expensive ; Not very responsive or accurate

Ugly and awkward, this is almost certainly not worthy of 80 of your hard earned pounds
