Genius G-Pen 450 Tablet

Filling the lower price range of the G-pen graphic tablet line, the Genius G-pen 450 graphic tablet comes in a compact size and elegant, metallic silver look. With the excellent graphic tablet writing technology Genius is known for, the G-pen 450 gives...

High level of sensitivity and resolution guarantees great writing and drawing experience with minimal error all the time. - Compact size makes it easy to bring along when you travel

The Genius G-pen requires an AAA battery to operate. This makes the top end of the pen a bit heavier. Pens of other makers such as Wacom do not require any battery. - Drawing/editing applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter come in Trial...

If you are looking for a device that lets you draw complex graphics, the G-pen 450 is not for you. However, sketchers, professionals, or anyone who need a reliable tool for writing, photo editing, and simple drawing needs, the Genius 450 is quite a...

Best choice for beginners

If you have never used a drawing tablet before, start with this one, and see if you REALLY need an Intuos. They look nice, but unless you are a PROFESSIONAL DIGITAL ARTIST, you dont need an Intuos. And by professional I don't mean the ocassional...

CHEAP, easy to install. And YES, it supports Vista x64 and 7 x64, some people just don't know how to find drivers. Good sesitivity, works great with Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator. In fact, you dont even need drivers, Vista and 7 recognized it

It doesn't have the touchwheel the Intuos has. I have an Intuos at work and the only difference is the buttons on the left panel

Decent tablet

Got this as an alternative to typing due to arthritis. Helps a bit, good for quick notes, but can be a pain for it to reconize your handwriting stlye.

Cheap, fairly easy to use. Can be used with Vista 64 if download driver update. In fact I used it to write this review

A little tedious to get it recognize your writing style. But easier than hunt and peck

Works fine for me

I'm good with computers and my customers who are less confident seem to have more problems.

Low Cost. I was able to find and download a driver for my new Vista operating system, but not sure where I found that. Pen works fine, though

I have recommended it to others and they have had trouble where I have not. Sometimes takes a minute to get it to turn on. If I were a graphic artist, it might not be accurate enough, not sure. I'm a teacher and use this over the internet for distance...

Could be worse

I would be completely satisfied with it if the pen weren't so poorly thought out. You get what you pay for, I guess. Still, for testing the water and seeing if I would enjoy having a more expensive tablet, it's okay.

It's cheap

The pen is terrible. It shuts itself off to save battery power after about 30 seconds without sufficient activity. Apparently, I don't draw hard enough to warrant sufficient activity, because it keeps shutting off in the middle of drawing a line. And...

Fail

Only looking for the blasted connection cable, which is also used for MP3 players, Cameras, and many thousands of different accessories. I don't want to buy 80 tips, just 1 blasted cable to connect the tablet I have!
