Logitech Wireless Mouse M505 review: Logitech Wireless Mouse M505

Logitech Wireless Mouse M505

Notched wheel allows for vertical and horizontal scrolling; unifying receiver pairs easily with other Logitech peripherals; power button conserves battery life.

Pricier than other mobile mice; no thumb buttons.

The Wireless M505 Mouse is a good choice for anyone using Logitech's Unifying USB transceiver (which also works with its keyboards), but it's priced a bit high considering its limited button layout.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M505

The Wireless M505 Mouse is a good choice for anyone using Logitech's Unifying USB transceiver, which also works with some of the company's keyboards, but it's priced a bit high considering its limited button layout.

Notched wheel allows for vertical and horizontal scrolling ; Unifying receiver pairs easily with other compatible Logitech peripherals ; Power button conserves battery life

Pricier than many other mobile mice ; No thumb buttons

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M505 is accurate and comfortable but, forAU $89.95, we're disappointed by the lack of thumb buttons. If you're looking for a no-fuss wireless mouse to throw into a laptop bag, we'd recommend the Microsoft Wireless Mobile...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Comes as advertised.

This mouse fulfills daily needs, I bring it to work and use it all day and use it sometimes at home. It hasn't given me any reason to doubt it after using it actively for more then 14+hrs. Logitech has once again proven that their products can't be beat!

Lazer tracking, small USB hookup, lightweight and easy to transport. Most definitely better than hauling my wired mouse around. Edit: I have owned this product for over three years now. I've only had to change the batteries once, and that was a couple...

sleeps

My mouse was shipped directly from China, which took about two weeks. I guess I got the last of the production run.

Sharp looking. Nice, precise tracking while it's working

The buttons require a firmer push than I'm used to - about 7 oz according to my scales. However, the main problem is that the mouse falls asleep. I can wake it up by bringing it down rather sharply on the mouse pad. Not really hard. But I was having to...

DOA

For what I paid its not worth additional effort /time to try to replace.

Comfortable three button portable mouse

This unit was dead on arrival, not the color ordered, took three weeks to arrive (turns out it shipped from China)

Good while it lasted... barely used it though.

Really nice mouse.

Computers don't recognize the USB receiver anymore.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Good, but doesn't outlast the warranty

Lasted almost 3 years, and has been good so far. Tested all USB ports on both my computer and my wife's computer with the receiver, and got the same result, so I know it is not an issue with the computers. The receiver has spent its time either plugged...

I love the size, and the mouse functions well on all surfaces except my glass desktop. I knew that from the start, so that was not a big deal. This mouse was bought to accompany my netbook that I use for international travel, and has been to three...

Cons ; Receiver started shorting out middle of Fall 2012. Had to wiggle it to get it to be recognized by the computer. No big deal at first. I just had to find the angle that it wanted to be recognized at. Now, after a few months of putting up with...
