The Razer Basilisk Ultimate is a killer, all-purpose wireless gaming mouse for serious PC gamers driven to pull out all the stops.

Razer's Basilisk Essential scales down one of our favorite gaming mice while keeping most of its best features intact.

Packing deep color customization, lots of sensitivity options, and a nifty thumb grip, the Razer Basilisk is a proficient gaming mouse at a promising price.

The Razer Basilisk's thumb clutch and unconventional shape are winners, but is it really a better FPS mouse than the DeathAdder?
Adjustable thumb "clutch" easier to use than any sniper button ; Comfortable thumb rest area ; PWM3389 sensor closely related to the familiar PWM3360
Unconventional shape might dissuade some ; Scroll wheel resistance is adjustable, but hard to get set properly ; Beta version of Razer Synapse is still not great
The Basilisk’s biggest issue is that, regardless of how Razer’s positioning, it’s a direct competitor for the DeathAdder a.k.a. one of the most popular mice in the world. And while the clutch is definitely a smart take on the Sniper button, it’s not...

Looking for a gaming mouse that focuses on ergonomics and has great performance to boot? Check out our Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K review right here.
Pros ; + Good tracking ; + Excellent ergonomics and comfort ; + Great build quality ; + RGB lighting that you can actually see while using it ; + Superb battery life ; + Tri-connectivity is always great to have ; + Good weight distribution ; + PTFE...
Cons ; – Not meant for small hands and lefties ; – Pricey ; – Razer Mouse Dock Pro adds more but further adds to the hefty price tag
Summary The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K isn’t a gaming mouse for everyone, but for the one it fits, it will work excellently. If you’re looking for an all-purpose wireless gaming mouse that prioritizes ergonomics and has great performance to boot, it’s...

The Basilisk is the first mouse Razer has made in a while that really feels different. The mouse is extremely comfortable to hold, and while there's no denying that the clutch is kind of an eyesore, it does exactly what it's supposed to, and it works...
Comfortable design ; Innovative clutch ; Useful HyperShift feature ; Handy thumb rest
Software still in beta ; Not as attractive as other Razer mice
The Razer Basilisk boasts a comfortable feel, intuitive software and reasonable price, in addition to an innovative clutch that’s a bit of an eyesore.

The Razer Basilisk brings a sensitivity clutch to the Razer lineup of gaming mice to give you an extra edge in FPS games.
Sensitivity clutch ; Customisable scroll wheel resistance ; Impressive software support
Little expensive ; High variance in optical sensor frame rate
The only appealing and functional feature for FPS gamers on the Razer Basilisk would be the sensitivity clutch or the sniper button. It’s a removable clutch available in two different sizes, so that one can lower their sensitivity when needed. An...

Having previously given Razer's DeathAdder Elite KitGuru's 'Must Have' award, you can bet I was exci Razer's new Basilisk features an all-new design and removable DPI clutch. Worth £59.99?
Thumb rest is a good addition.
Ergonomics are let down by the flat right-hand side.
The Basilisk is certainly a good mouse with a couple of new features which help it stand out. However, I do think the ergonomics need tweaking, while the software situation doesn’t help matters either.
