Cyborg R.A.T. 5 Gaming Mouse Review

The mechanical claw cometh.

Precision Aim really helps, Adjustable length makes the mouse more comfy, Most Sci-Fi looking mouse out there

Rubberized texture attracts dust

Coming back to the Cyborg R.A.T. 5, it is a very decent mouse from an operating perspective. The whole body is slightly rubberized to provide complete grip no matter how you hold the device. The mouse buttons are nicely placed, especially the Precision...

First Thoughts: So Far So Good

I'd still definitely recommend the mouse. Keep in mind that I've heard things about them breaking over time, and I've only had mine for a day. So far it's awesome, but we'll see what the future holds.

Keep in mind that the mouse just arrived TODAY, so I've only been using it for a few hours ; SHAPE: The shape is awesome. I was a little worried that it'd be uncomfortable. I think that RAT 7 has a pinkie rest, that feels like it's the only thing...

One minor actual thing is that the precision aim button registers slightly after the "click" of the button itself. This leads to it being a little finicky if you stop pressing in after you feel it click ; So basically you click it, hold it in pretty...

Good Mouse

I don't think if I would recommend this to someone else for full price, but it has served its purpose better than other mice I have had. Would have been better off putting the money towards something else

adjustable ; surprisingly good feel ; easy to adjust dpi settings ; nice software ; looks cool ; scrol-wheel is great

The side buttons have started dying pretty quickly ; I don't know if mine is defective or not, but even with software no program will detect movement of the horizontal scroll wheel ; Mouse will stop moving in one direction fairly often (either up/down...

Solid as it is outrageous

Hopefully this new version holds up like the old one did. As far as i can tell the build quality is just as good. I could ramble on and on about the r.a.t but honestly you just have to try it out. Certainly makes your desktop look unique. I have people...

I had the pleasure to get a r.a.t 5 when they first came out, and although it was sorta a gamble considering the price and company making them, this thing turned out to be more than worth it. My original rat of 3 years ago, still working, made it...

As much as I love the thing, it certainly could be improved upon. Cons include ; Hard to reach sniper button, they should really move it in more ; The palm adjustment honestly is best left alone, and in the factory position ; Non mechanical side...

Not the Best

Did not last long, the switch to the mouse button broke twice. they replaced the first mouse and then months later the next mouse broke.

Okay mouse ; looks good

Did not last long ; The customer support for the rat 5 was terrible

Iffy

seems like a hit or miss product. tech support also seems hit or miss

Great tracking speed, recognizes the vibrations me even bumping the desk. Sniper button, 2 scroll wheels. 4 programable dpi settings. good customization

Broke in less than 3 months ; bad quality control ; terrible tracking problems for a lot of mouses ; customer support took 3 weeks to replace it

decent mouse

all in all, over priced for a mouse that will fall apart very quickly.

Love you you can make it fit your hand. Love the built in hex

when extending the back part of the mouse it gets very unstable. the main palm part was missing a screw so it would not lock down. And now after about a year of owning it, all of the plastic pieces on the bottom are falling off because of cheap...

Normally I'd give it 5 eggs but one is being deducted due to the Cons listed. It is still and amazing mouse but i don't expect it to last very long, especially for those that use the PC for long periods of time.

Works very well, especially for its price. While it may not be the Top Notch gear for the "professional gamer", it suits me just fine for the various games I play (FPS, MMO, RTS, MOBA, ARPG, etc.) ; The software from Cyborg has proved very helpful for...

Had this mouse for ~5 months, the icons where my thumb rests nearly gone. Because of the complex open design of it, the mouse is very easy to dirty; the gears and whatnot can collect dust and hair ; As mentioned, I have used this mouse for around 5...

Adjust-ability makes this mouse a perfect fit for most any hand sizes. (I'm not going to make a guarantee for those with extreme hand sizes though.) ; I don't think I'm ever going to buy a mouse without the thumb rest, it's practically my favorite part...

Sometimes the screws and other divets can get a little... un-hygenic. It's nothing a quick cleaning can't handle but is worth a mention
