Wacom Cintiq 22HD

The professional-grade Wacom Cintiq 22HD ($1,999 direct) carries on the company's tradition of offering the best PC- and Mac-based drawing surfaces on the planet. It's ideal for professional illustrators, cartoonists, graphic designers, and artists who...

Extremely accurate drawing surface. Finally supports full 1080p resolution. Industrial-strength mount. Configurable ExpressKeys and rear-mounted Touch Strips

Very expensive. Display is a little dim. Imprecise rear-mounted Touch Strips

The awesome Wacom Cintiq 22HD remains the standard bearer of high-end drawing tablets. It lacks multitouch support, but you'd have to pay almost double the price for the Cintiq 24HD touch to get it.

Wacom Cintiq 22HD Touch and 13HD

If you mainly work at a desk (home or office), then the Cintiq 22HD touch is for you. If, however, you do a lot of traveling, or find that you're more creative outside the office or in coffee shops, then by all means get the Cintiq 13HD.

Pure hot

There’s no way I can do justice in such a short article to how great these products are and how much I love them. (I’ve yet to meet anyone who has bought a Cintiq and not fallen in love it.) My litmus test for how good a piece of technology is comes...

Wacom Cintiq 22HD Vs. Modbook Pro: Screen Real Estate Takes On Portability For The Digital Artist

Tablets are everywhere these days thanks to the iPad, but they lack a certain finesse necessary for fine digital arts work. That's where longtime players like Wacom and Modbook still excel. Recently, I've had both a Wacom Cintiq 22HD and a new Modbook...

Wacom Cintiq 22HD review

Is this Cintiq worth its high price tag? Rob Redman gets to grips with a new interactive pen display from Wacom

Large, bright and detailed screen

upplied cables could be longer

If my monitor failed, I’d be happy to replace it with this – I may well do so in the near future anyway. It’s a high-quality device with multiple uses and it beats a mouse or trackpad hands down.

Everything as predicted

A lot of people are complaining about Adorama Camera. I had no problems with their service. It shipped fast and it was packed well, and the item was brand new in factory packaging. Take the 1-egg reviews with a grain of salt.

This was a major upgrade from my Cintiq 12WX. The colors gamut is excellent, the screen brightness is more than acceptable, and the large viewing angle is very helpful. The stand that comes with it is great for desk use, but I prefer a swing-arm mount...

I'd say "the cost", but I got what I paid for and I don't regret it.

Didn't Work Right and Wacom Tech Support is Horrible

I would buy a different brand if the companies I work for in the future were not all using Wacom Cintiqs. But imagine eventually another company will replace Wacom by providing better tech support than this company.

nothing really

Wacom tech support is the worst I have ever seen from any tech company. It sounded like I was talking to people with limited understanding of English in a place like India and with terrible phones. I was hung up on 5 times with two of those times being...

Great tool for artists of any kind

These tools are great. If you want it to work exactly like the real world tools then don't bother getting one. The tools such as the pencil and ink pens come close to the real thing but are still lacking the subtle/soft reactions of their physical...

Large display gives you plenty of room to work. Plus the rotate option really does come in handy.

The touch and pen controls went wacky until I found out how to reset them through a YouTube video and have had absolutely no problems since. They work great and the touch option has quickly spoiled me.

Wacom Cintiq 22HD

Good size to the beast, and just as a monitor, it's not bad--though definitely not a 2k monitor as just a monitor. It's important because if the monitor itself is mediocre, you aren't getting much for being able to more or less draw directly on the...

For some reason, Wacom is sticking with a plastic cover, which will likely be scratched up within a year assuming you use it enough to justify buying it. Fortunately, you can get a screen protector, and I recommend you do ; The cabling is not modular....

Expected more

Conclusion: If you can settle for less room to work with, go for the Cintiq 13HD. Because the glass is thin and is right on top of the screen, it has minimal parallax distortion (pretty much none at all, if you've seen the unboxing vids on youtube),...

It was an easy install; pretty fast and smooth on my windows 7 computer. The pen response time is fast, the felt-like plastic coating gives the pen display a very fine, high-quality touch.

Made in China - I knew this before I looked for the label that said it. - Parallax distortion. There's about half of a centimeter between the plastic drawing surface and the actual LCD screen. This isn't a true con, since I already knew this before I...
