Philips GoGear SA6045/02 (4GB)

Philips strikes a solid balance between music player and video player.

As with so many digital media players these days, the conclusion with this Philips is a bit of a mixed one. With such a low price it's clearly firing directly at the Sandisk Sansa e200 range of players and, to a certain extent it bests them. In...

Philips GoGear SA6045

The Philips GoGear SA6545 is a feature-filled MP3 player that will suit those looking for good video playback over a compact form factor.

User-friendly design ; Ample screen ; Dedicated volume controls ; FM tuner, photo and video support ; Compatible with subscription services ; Has a lot of bass

Control pad feels cheaply built ; No album-art support ; Large for a flash player ; Some music comes across flat ; Some bass-heavy tracks are slightly distorted

Performance Taking everything into account, the GoGear SA6045 is a decent performer overall, though we wouldn't call the sound quality excellent. Most songs -- especially selections from Duran Duran and Kanye West -- sounded very good in testing, with...

A wonderfull unit

because of the durability and ease of use of this product, I would buy it again, even if it were a few dollars more expensive than another product.

This is a wonderful mp3 player, its the most durable player I have yet to own, the software that came with it is really easy to use, but only needed for formatting wmv files(movies) for your player. You can just drag and drop mp3 files from your hard...

Only two, the headphone jack seems to be in an unusual place, I dont think this was designed very well, it comes out on the side. And it was only available in black, I plan on buying another shortly for my wife, and shes gonna be taking mine :)

full featured and a great value

Overall it's a great little player for someone who wants a mp3 player that does just that. Even at it's modest price tag, it still boasts features found on more expensive models like FM radio and voice record. Folder view is very handy, and it lets you...

Super easy to use interface, menus are logical and buttons are well laid out. View-by-folder is a nice(and rare) feature that lets you sort music(or audiobooks) apart how you like so all your audio isn't in one big file. You can use WMP to sync, or...

It doesn't support album art. Odd considering it has a large, bright, full color screen. It's not a deal-breaker for me, but is a lacking feature ; Battery life is just so-so. I get around 15 hours music playback at full volume(connected to car...

Great Buy

Make sure you have Windows XP service pack 2 or better!

A very nice entry level MP3 player at a great price. Nice FM feature. Clear reception. Easy to use

Could use an AM band. It would be nice to see just one MP3 player with AM

Great

not too bad for a 45$ mp3 player that can play videos and music and built in radio too. Great service from UPS and NEWEGG. i will allways shop from newegg for PC parts.

Works great and no problems very easy to use. would buy another one if it broke or for a gift

well the only thing i dont like is waiting for the videos to convert and space it's only 4 gigabytes. but more than enough for what i use it for ; i Still give it 5 eggs

No bookmarking capability.

Under $50 bucks should be a deal, but I can't see this as being very useful in normal use, not worth the aggravation. Also to those with syncing issues, not sure what the problem is. I don't sync anything, I just drag files over. It's a hard drive, you...

Sleek, Vivid screen, Independent Volume Control, FM Radio, Playlist Button

No bookmarking capability! I can't believe this is is even an optional feature! How can this be? I listen to audiobooks while traveling, working out, and this is going to be a useless mp3 player for that. Yes, if you pause and shut down it'll remember...

Decent mp3 player at a great price

Very suitable for a casual mp3 player. Isn't too small or too big.

Price!!! Design is good, and screen looks nice

Volume is a little soft if there is any outside noise. (stock headphones) Feels a bit fragile

Orphan?

It would be nice if these guys had the accessories I am after. I emailed them and they referred me to a DeLongi Website. There I can purchase parts for an electric heater if I want. Way to go guys! I did find, through New Egg's Link to the vendor's web...

Player works well. Audio is very good, FM Radio has acceptable reception, video is fine. Easy to use for playback

Loading sometimes a little funny. Perhaps I miss the point but their Media Converter prep the files for loading\syncing. It doesn't. Seems after going through the motions Windows Media Player re-preocesses the files. Wastes time and computer resources...
