Philips Micro Audio Jukebox HDD060

 

This is a capable player with good navigation and a nice design, but there are more capacious players with faster interfaces in the same category and general price range.

Although the Philips Micro Audio Jukebox HDD060 is a nice enough player, it falls short of the Creative Nomad MuVo2 and the Editors' Choice-winning Apple iPod Mini in transfer speed, software, and storage. But we do love those ear buds.

Philips Micro Jukebox HDD060

 

Resembling an iPod in colour and style, this mini hard drive-based MP3 player lands way off the mark in terms of design, features, and performance.

Compact and stylish. Functions as an external drive.

Pricey. Cluttered display. Slow menu navigation. Doesn't play copy-protected WMA files. Poor bundled software. Slow transfer speeds. No resume function.

While Philips's HDD060 borrows some of the iPod's design aesthetic, it can't touch Apple's champion -- steer clear of this mini hard drive-based player.

nce music was on the player it sounded fine, the earphones could have done with a volume control on them and smaller ear plugs but other than that the sound was perfect. The battery life is excellent, I have run mine for 10 hours plus without...
