A bargain price and decent sound quality can't lift this MP3 player above the mire of mediocrity.

It's hard to get excited about the Philips SA3125/02. This mid-capacity device is very much a standard-issue citizen of the MP3-player world, with little to complain about but few special qualities to raise it above the common herd.

Good investment

 

I bought this as a gift to my boyfriend, at first he was a little upset by the size, but once he started using it he loved it. He uses it at the gym and the one thing he likes the best he does not have to worry about buying batteries.

Sound quality and video quality is excellent. Once you get familiar with everything easy to use.

A little smaller than I thought it would be, but a good size. No real instruction manual, hard to understand how to download videos, but once you get the hang of it easy to use. The headphones are not comfortable.

SA3125/37 MP3 2GB Video Player with FM radio

 

My third MP3 player (has SanDisk and iPod) and this is my favorite so far! I haven't used the video feature, so I cannot comment on that, but I bought it for audio use and it's working out very well.

Intuitive menus, easy to read display, easy to navigate buttons, plenty of memory

SA3125/37 MP3 2GB Video Player with FM radio

 

Awesome audio and very easy to use. The flow of the dials and the use of symbols to indicate different functions to choose are so simple that you can learn to use the player without directions.

I did not like the 5 hours charge time prior to using the mp3 player but once charged it was worth the wait!

Nice try but a miss

 

For fm radio, mp3 playing, etc it's nice. However, there are a lot of other mp3 players that do that even better for the same price or cheaper. I like it, or want to like it. It's just that whole SMV & BMP only issue that is the deal killer.

It's inexpensive. That's the big plus. The fm radio works really well and the presets are easy to set. MP3 transfers are pretty straightforward and easy to do.

It's really limited as to what it does. It only displays BMP files on the image browser and only plays slideshows. So out of luck if you want to use it like a really small picture frame. The really big pain is the video player. Since it uses a...
