Philips GoGear SA6025 2GB

As MP3 players go, the GoGear 6045 is neither cheap nor terribly compact, but it's not expensive and huge, either. The 4GB player goes for about $140 (by contrast, the 4GB Creative Zen V Plus is $110) and measures 3.6x2.1x0.5 inches. The relatively...

The Philips GoGear SA6000 offers a user-friendly design, an ample screen, and dedicated volume controls. It includes desirable features such as an FM tuner and photo and video support. The player is compatible with subscription services, and it has a...

The control pad on the GoGear SA6000 feels cheaply built, and there's no album-art support. The unit is large for a flash player, and some music comes across flat while some bass-heavy tracks are slightly distorted.

The Philips GoGear SA6545 is a feature-filled MP3 player that will suit those looking for good video playback over a compact form factor.

The Philips GoGear SA6025 is a decent flash based media player for those looking for something simple and competent.

Philips GoGear SA6025 review

Big is the new small for the Philip's latest MP3 player

Very cheap ; Large screen

Too much wasted space ; A shameless iPod rip-off

It's not the worst player around but it needs better buttons and less girth

Philips SA6025 review

Looks good, but scratch the surface and there's not much there

Good looks and build ; eye-catching price ; simple to use

Rather insipid sound ; some picture issues

There’s a lot the Philips gets right, but the key basics are lacking. The style/substance ratio is out, here

The Philips GoGear SA6025 would be a really great player if it had a better set of earphones.

Philips GoGear SA6025 review

Philips' latest video player is black and shiny with a tempting price tag, but lacks the basic talents needed to take on its contemporaries

An odd one, this. It's nearly full iPod-sized, despite being a mere 2-4GB. A lot of folk will find it less appealing than all the other flash-based players, wanting something they can carry without noticing.

Too much wasted space, A shameless iPod rip-off

It's not the worst player around but it needs better buttons and less girth

Great Solid Player

This is a nice player and a great affordable replacement for higher end players. Songbird could be available on more OS platforms, but the device easily mounts as a hard drive in linux, so it works out well except you can only upgrade the firmware on a...

Solidly built with a nice metal finish. Uses a simple USB cable with a common USB mini jack so replacement cables are easy. Sounds great, really really great sound. I can hear, I mean really hear the difference between tracks on MP3 and FLAC and can...

The click buttons are kind of rough and take a bit to depress. This is actually nice in some ways because it's really hard to accidentally hit them but it makes browsing kind of suck sometimes. I keep getting sync errors with no log or output file to...

Great mp3 Player for the money.

If you happen to do what I did and accidently step on and break the flimsy little Ipod shuffle charger only to find out a replacement is exorbitant price vs replacing a USB cable for the Philips Go Gear which I had to do because I lost it in the move...

The EQ is actually quite good ; Menu Layout is simple to use ; If you've ever used a flash drive to transfer files it's the exact same method to transfer music and files to the go gear, very simple and fast. NO ITUNES Required Which is a huge plus ;...

Is a bit slow in the menus ; Could pump out a bit more sound ; The head phones it comes with don't stay in your ear very well, Had to replace with ones that wrap slightly around your ear so they don't fall out while excerising, had to do the same for...
