Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0

Verizon 4G LTE network is incredibly fast, 32GB microSD card included, Integrated kickstand works in portrait and landscape

Battery life is among the worst weve ever seen, No 4G LTE power toggle option, Kickstand in landscape orientation blocks microUSB port

Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 Review [Video]

Any casual tech observer knows that Android power more than just phones, like tablets, netbooks, and on occasion actual androids. But Samsung's Galaxy Player 5.0 seems like a gadget in search of a problem to solve. Ostensibly a competitor to the iPod...

The device is a lot less unwieldy than you’d think, and for some, it might be time for a 5-inch upgrade – but again, without a phone, the Galaxy Player 5 is a novelty at best and redundant at worst. Bring on the Galaxy Note, Samsung – I want to see how...

Samsung Galaxy Player 5 review

We recently reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Player 4, which is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Player 5: the only differences are in design and battery size.

As an iPod touch alternative, the Galaxy Player 5 offers much to like - especially if you are already familiar with Android and have invested money in the ecosystem. Audio playback through the stock Samsung music app is of poor quality, but the Android...

Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 Android media player

Review I reviewed Samsung's first Android media player [1] just over a year ago and frankly thought it was awful. I'm sure I wasn't alone. Undaunted, Samsung tried again with a new device packing a larger screen, faster CPU and bigger battery but only...

If you want a large screen Android device as a media player or mini-tablet but don’t fancy being lumbered with an expensive mobile phone with single day battery life then the Galaxy S 5.0 has a lot to recommend it. Android 2.2 may be a bit behind the...

Pretty Good

Wi-Fi Only. This was my first smart device. Purchased device and tried to download skype to make it into a phone but the wi-fi wasn't strong enough at my workplace I think the speakers work just fine. You may have to do a complete factory reset when...

Long Battery ; Large Screen ; Ease of Use ; 32mb SD Card

Doesn't go over Android 2.3

Galaxy

Customer support are mentally challenged. I told the first guy before he transferred me to his supervisory he is a completely mentally challenged. So when you contact Samsung just ask for level 2 or level 3 support instead. If he can transfer you to...

Looks like a phone ; Trick people into thinking its a phone ; watch your (stuff) on it

Battery is NOT removable ; Mic could be better ; Camera has no zooming ; Can be slow because of the 377mb of RAM ; 1GHz CPU (if you root it) ; Lots of bloatware installed from Samsung ; Glossy

Great Player, Abandoned by Samsung (as usual)

Here are some clarifications regarding previous posts: "ARB" is the code for "Factory Refurbished, USA". ARB stamped devices are refurbished in the Texas Plant mentioned. XAA is the code for a NEW US Market Player. "CW" simply means "8GB/Capacitive"....

This Player (at least the hardware) is best-in-class - in my opinion ; Great Screen, Feature Packed ; Decently fast CPU, with outstanding battery life

Forgotten by Samsung before it hit the shelves ; If you stay with Samsung firmware, you're stuck so last decade ; WiFi is flakey - and generally has a short range when it does work

Capable device

I really like the big screen for this device. It works really well, I have already gotten it rooted (It works!) and updated the Kernel as well. Quite handy to have in your pocket.
