Samsung YP-S5

Samsung's S5—an update to the K5—is slimmer and just as sleek.

Well designed. Excellent graphics. Intuitive user interface. Quality EQ. Built-in speaker.

Touch-sensitive buttons are not responsive enough. Small screen for video. Mediocre file support.

Samsung S5 review: Samsung S5

The Samsung S5 is an MP3 player with a fun interface and excellent sound quality; the screen is a bit small, but this player is still a great choice if you want to share your tunes at the drop of a dime.

Samsung S5 4GB, black

When Samsung came out with the K5 in 2006, we were stoked to see an MP3 player with an unusual design trait: a nifty built-in speaker that flipped out from behind the device and propped the player up for optimal listening. It helped, too, that the K5...

Samsung YP-S5JAB MP3 Player

Samsung maybe better known for their display products, but one cannot overlook their line of audio devices. The Samsung S5 is the latest to enter the Overclockers Online labs and we're excited to see how well it performs over its predecessors.

Samsung S5 Radio/MP3 Player

This article will provide a review of the Samsung S5 MP3 player. The S5 is Samsung's follow-up to the K5, which was revolutionary in its own right. Keep reading to learn how this model will improve upon its predecessor and whether or not you should buy...

All in all, the Samsung S5 Radio/MP3 player is a very powerful device for the avid MP3 listener. Unlike other MP3 players, it gives you the option to listen to music by yourself or with friends without needing any auxiliary connections. It also has...

Review: Samsung S5 (YP-S5)

Let's not waste another second overlooking it. Read on for my full review.

Although some of its features (e.g., video playback, datacasts) are superfluous to the point of overkill, the Samsung S5 digital audio player is a sweet and solid device with good sound quality, a unique design, usable slide-out speakers, and...

A definite improvement over the earlier K5, the S5 sounds better and incorporates Bluetooth with A2DP profile.

Samsung YP-S5 (2GB)

The S5 takes Samsung's touch-button, speaker-enabled K5 and slims it down. We like it, but what's with the mutant earphones?

Slimmer than the YP-K5. Can transfer files using Bluetooth. Useful speaker applications such as alarm clock and speakerphone. Snazzy animated interface.

Screen is small and on the low-res side. Still bulkier than your average flash MP3 player. Touch controls won't suit everyone. Odd mutant earphones.

Odd, uncomfortable headphones and a small, low-res screen are the lone detractors from this decent player.

Samsung YP-S5 music player

The S5 is an evolutionary upgrade to the K5 mini-boom-box

Stereo speaker clarity, Bluetooth support (for wireless headset, file transfer, and mobile hands-free connectivity), good sound quality

The white version looks bland, Low-resolution screen, a little expensive
