Sansa SlotMusic Player Review

SanDisk's Sansa slotMusic makes a fine budget MP3 player for those who don't want to put much effort into their music.

SanDisk Sansa slotMusic Player

Sansa seems to be turning back the clock with the release of its slotMusic Player. Does the world really need new music delivered on microSD?

Cheap, small.

Technology already feels outdated. No rechargeable battery. Cards are overpriced.

SanDisk Sansa TakeTV review

Editors' Note: As of spring 2008, the Fanfare video service has been shuttered , and the TakeTV hardware will no longer be sold.

Enables easy viewing of DivX, Xvid, and MPEG4 videos on your TV; setup and operation couldn't be simpler; premium content available via Fanfare online service; flexible aspect ratio control; doubles as a standard flash drive; modest price tag.

Compatibility limited to only three video file formats; no support for photos or music; remote design is somewhat awkward; Fanfare Web site currently has very limited content options, and--for now, at least--it's not viewable on other devices, such as...

The SanDisk Sansa TakeTV delivers plug-and-play simplicity for watching downloaded videos on your TV.

SanDisk Sansa e260

The SanDisk Sensa e260 is definitely the non-Apple player to beat.

Removable battery. Sturdy shell. Very good audio quality. Easy to use. Expandable storage. Extensive feature set. Strong FM tuner.

Playlisting features aren't great. Buttons are slightly difficult to press. No lossless support. Loading music in USB mode causes erratic behavior. Requires separate apps for loading music and visual media.

the built-in rechargeable battery is removable, and sandisk says that spare batteries will come with screwdrivers and extra screws. the company rates the battery life at 20 hours for continuous audio playback with the included earbuds. i did my own...

SanDisk Sansa e270 MP3 player review

At the end of the day, it's pretty clear that there isn't much that the Sansa e200 series can't do - Voice recording, music, pictures and movies are all within its remit, and an FM receiver smuggled away inside the unit too (albeit sadly disabled due...

SanDisk Sansa e260 review (e200 series)

This review was updated 6/22/06. See the comments section on the Conclusion page for the changelog. Introduction SanDisk quietly entered the digital audio scene last winter with their affordable Digital Audio Player line. Two more dirt cheap,...

With the Sansa e200 series SanDisk has created their most compelling MP3 player yet. It lives up to the hype in that it is easy to use, well-designed, and feature-filled, something few players on the market can accurately claim. It's not quite a...

SanDisk Sansa e260 review

Sandisk isn't a name you're likely to immediately associate with MP3 players. You're more likely to think, ‘mmm, solid-state storage' and other such dirty thoughts. But the memory king has been chipping away at the MP3 block for a little while, and has...

SanDisk Sansa e250 (2GB)

Extensive list of features ; Good audio playback ; Decent voice recorder ; Impressive design

Video playback not entirely smooth ; Plastic click wheel a design blight

SanDisk has produced a winner in its e series. Not only do the players have a great list of features, its price makes it a very compelling proposition for those looking for a small MP3 player.
