Slightly smaller and thinner than the original, the new Toshiba gigabeat X30 gives the overall effect being of a much sleeker unit than its predecessor.

Nice design with an outstanding large colour screen. Good sound quality.

A little features-light compared to others in the market. Confusing and unintuitive navigation. gigabeat room not exactly user friendly.

Toshiba Gigabeat X30 Review

The Toshiba Gigabeat X30 is a 30GB (gigabytes) media player device, but if this is not enought you can go a bit further with a larger 60GB vesion, the Gigabeat X60.

Really light and small ; Great screen ; Fast operation ; Can be used as an external drive for storing backup or transporting data from one PC to another

Screen too small for long movies

Overall, I was really impressed with how Portable Media Center devices evolved in a year or two, in terms of size, user interface and usability. The Toshiba Gigabeat X30 would fit perfectly in my gadgets collection.
