Quality Printer

The windows side is a little heavy weight but it is _far_ better than a competing two letter company package which needs to be removed every 6 months because it hangs the login process.

Nice looking print quality, comparatively good linux support, easy network setup

Would rather see a simple PPD for use with CUPS instead of requiring some tweaking of the system. Windows tool set is a little heavy (I wish it wouldn't start at login, instead wait for me to use it)

Scanner not good

I love Brother as a brand, printer works good. Scanner and software need work.

Brother is a wonderful unit. I sell thse to my clients all the time and love, love, love them. Quality product, reliable, cost effective

Scanning multiple photos in one pass ; I bought this scanner to scan photos for our wedding. We had over 300 photos and to scan each individually would take forever ; I have an HP Photosmart that will scan each item on the glass and show them on the...

Awsome

Highly recommend this printer to anyone who knows a good deal when they see one. It is just an upgrade from the MFC-495CW.

First hats off to Newegg for speedy delivery and then to the fine product delivered ; Many people look for something for nothing. One needs to know first of all what they are looking for. If you are not in a top of the line business and don't need a...

Read this if you have trouble with wireless setup

Haven't used it a whole lot yet, but I haven't had any trouble with the feeder grabbing multiple pages. The color of the photos I've printed on plain paper (haven't tried glossy) seem a bit dull, but the color settings might fix that.

Seems to be well built. Separate ink cartridges for each color is a plus, and the print heads aren't part of the cartridge, making ink cheaper

Manual wireless setup on the printer itself didn't work. After selecting my SID and entering the password, it appeared to connect to the router just fine and printed out a confirmation page, but I couldn't see it on the network. So after retrying the...

Nice Printer

Because of the auto doc feed, I don't have that tray that sticks up in the back, which makes it perfect for a tight space requirement. Just used the auto feed and its awesome, no jams, printed copies perfectly and fairly fast. Printing from the...

Very Slow...

I purchased this printer because it has great features for the price. The build quality is very good. Printer appears to be built durable. The ink cartridges load in the bottom front right side of the printer which is a lot better than having to open...

Good build quality, cheap ink, features, good display

Very slow, feeder issue

Good printer....

Using the LC61 cartridges is cheap if you buy generic cartridges online thru many places. A fairly fast print job compared to other inkjets. Nice USB port on the front as well as media slots.

Easy setup, individual cartridges make for all out printing without throwing away ink as in a tri-color cartridge. Installation of wireless not a problem if within the distance of the signal, of course

Kinda large, but solid
