Mac compatible too

I use these all the time, and while the TZe tapes aren't the cheapest things around, they come in a wide variety of colors and styles, and being able to use your own fonts allows you to make things look a little more "branded" when you are labeling for...

This works like all the other Brother Ptouch units I've used-the software is a little quirky, but it works. Mac Drivers are available from the Japanese site- it’s a little odd, but not difficult to get the drivers (icons and the same model number make...

As mentioned- the leader that gets cut before printing any label makes no sense to me. I realize it can't retract, but this seems just wasteful.

Great small label printer

Small, but does all the big jobs.

Poor usability

Why in the world did Brother save a few bucks on the battery management side?!

Prints clean labels quickly. No warm-up time

- Zero warning when the batteries run low -- it starts spitting out incorrectly printed labels. Given the price of tapes, not good. Come on guys at Brother, how much would it cost to put a low battery LED on this device?! - Since there is a USB cable,...

Pretty Solid Device..

Brother is/was supposedly good for Linux drivers but this software is Mac/Win only and I didn't figure out yet if it might work on Linux. I'm still locked in to Win for some software where I use this printer, so I guess that is okay for now. Reading...

Decently well built, small footprint, & easy to change tapes. I was debating to buy another at the nice sale price of $30 so I don't have to swap .5 and 1", but that is just me being lazy and I am saving for a $400 model for shipping labels. The...

Use the software and "chain printing mode" to avoid the wasted tape in between each label. When you are on the last label in a batch, uncheck chain printing so the last label isn't left inside. Yeah, this is kind of annoying but less so if you print...

Pretty nice

If you are creating a lot of labels this is nice, but it might be worth looking at sticker inkjet paper or something similar.

Very easy to use, Labels look fantastic. Simple black and white, pictures, not so much...

Label tape runs out fast, it's the old printer ink trick. Also a fair about of tape is wasted for each label as others have said. It's not huge, but often it's more than you want.

If it doesn't work you are on your own

The software was easy to use and installation was fairly easy. The first label came out great.

The label maker only worked for 1 day and then stopped working after destroying a brand new tape. Tried to contact Brother tech support twice and had no response so I decided to send back for replacement which Newegg switch to a refund which I should...

Nice labeler

Still a nice labeler . I paid the right price for the labeler 29.00 I will be able to buy a few rolls of labels at that saving! Its like satellite dishes they give you equiptment knowing you have to buy the programming!

Computer helps making labels very easy, just what I was looking for !

Labels are pretty expensive!! I know they could do a little better on pricing. I understand they have to make a profit but they could probably sell these for about half and sell 10 times what they sell now!!!
