Canon Pixma iP3000

Canon just refreshed its low-end inkjet lineup, replacing the popular i-series printers with four models branded with Pixma logos. We check out the middle child of the group, the Canon iP3000.

Plenty fast; PictBridge compatible; dual paper trays.

Slightly slower than its big brother; mediocre output.

It's worth spending more for better photo quality and slightly faster print speeds.

Canon PIXMA iP3000

The Canon PIXMA iP3000 is a photo printer in name only, with impressive speed and output quality for text and graphics, too.

Fast performance for both photos and business applications. Direct printing from PictBridge cameras. Duplex printing. Two input paper trays.

No memory card slots. Graphics output quality is a bit below par at default settings.

I reviewed the sibling to this (iP2000) last year, although this came out at the same time the media recommended to work with it's CD/DVD printing capabilities has only just arrived.

Been a Fantastic Printer

With the luck I'd had with this one, I figured that I could not go wrong by going back to Canon for another printer. What they are producing today does not stand up well with user reviews. That's a shame. I loved this product.

This thing has lasted NINE (9) YEARS!!! It was purchased as an inexpensive, temporary printer so I could replace my high quality printer that had started to act up. Instead, I was so pleased with this printer that I have used it as my primary printer...

Ink has been a little pricey. I've stayed with Canon OEM inks ; It's a little slow to start up or wake up ; The darned thing is dying on me after nine years

Very satisfied; quality is very good - couldn't have asked for a better printer at a great price

Good

After owning a few of Canon's previous printers I expected a lot from this one. The ip3000 may be used as a photo printer, but do not expect amazing results. My wife finds it adequate for scrapbooking but for something like a wedding album this would...

still going strong after a lot of use, the overall print quality is excellent

Haven't found any bad things

Excellent

I am a teacher and so my printer gets a fair hammering. The print quality is great and I do all my own photos and they look good. The ink cartridges are easy to refill so that saves me a fair bit of money. I would definitely recommend this printer to...

Cheap to buy, easy to use, still going strong after a lot of use, the overall print quality is excellent

nothing at all, there are no drawbacks that I have found and I have had the printer for several years.

Overall i would buy this printer small doesn't take a lot of space low cost of toner and fast prints great family photos.

This printer is very fast and rarely paper get stuck doesn't use a lot of toner the photo comes out great shiny.

The thing i really don't like about it its not wireless so i can't be another room printing but not really a problem.

Excellent

Very decent printer, I have the exact same thing on my computer. It does its job extremely well, I wouldn't have anything else to use for a printer. I have never ever ever ever in my lifetime seen such a top performance piece of work. The quality of...

I like that it is a fast printer. I personally have this same exact make and or model of the same type of printer. I love how it functions, it is just a very unique quality to have.

The only thing I dislike about this printer model and or make if you will. Is that it does not come in a decent variety of colors. I was looking for a blue printer of this make and or model, but it turns it they only come in gray and or white packages.
