Canon imageClass MF4270

The Canon imageClass MF4270 is best understood as a personal all-in-one (AIO) with a network connector added.

Fast print speed. Duplex (two-sided) printing. Standalone copying and faxing. 35-page automatic document feeder.

Can't scan over network. Text is a touch below par for a laser.

Canon ImageClass MF4270 review: Canon ImageClass MF4270

Canon ImageClass MF4270

Inexpensive; network-ready; includes ADF and duplexer; can receive faxes in secure memory; consistently good print/scan quality and fast scan and copy speeds.

Scan and fax features are a bit limited.

If your office printing, scan, and fax needs run to the basic, the Canon ImageClass MF4270 is a good fit, with brisk task speeds and consistent output quality.

Canon i-SENSYS MF4270 Mono Laser MFP

Canon's i-SENSYS MF4270 looks like a good value jack of all trades.

Just out of interest, compare this machine with the Sharp AR-M201F, reviewed last week. This Canon multi-function is consistently faster when printing real-world jobs, has a similar feature set, has no warm-up time from sleep mode and takes up much...

Good Laser all-in-one

Fast warm up, fast print. Good and reasonable speed document feed scanner. No jams yet except for staples... Better than the brother that it replaced (does not cause the lights to dim when warming up and better print quality). For the price great

Wish it had a big red cancel/stop/reset button for when things go wrong

Canon imageCLASS MF4270 2235B001 MFC / All-In-One Up to 21 ppm Monochrome Laser Printer

Great buy!! as usual Newegg shipped quickly without problems.

Easy set-up, compact size for machine with multiple capabilities. Fax is extremely fast with excellent quality. Copying, printing, scanning all work very well

Does not have legal size platen but with ADF it is not a major issue

Canon imageCLASS MF4270 2235B001 MFC / All-In-One Up to 21 ppm Monochrome Laser Printer

networking was a breeze. it really makes life easy to be able to wirelessly print. no jams for double side printing! amazing.... this printer works flawlessly

scanning requires usb cable. (you cannot wireless save to your computer). also the printer cannot store too much paper

Great Deal

I rarely print photos anymore... and now I can get them professionally printed for a few cents each.... so why fool around with all that cost and complexity for color inkjet in the home office... this thing does it with a huge bang for the buck...

instant startup, if it's in power saving mode, and you put a document in the ADF to copy, and press copy, it instantly scans and prints with no delay, a one page copy from cold takes about 4-5 seconds... amazing for anything under $600 ; very fast...

toner cartridges are combined with the drum and are a bit expensive, but not crazy and per sheet cost is still good for laser ; no scan from network, but curiously can scan to a usb key

Superb All-in-one!

I have this printer on my desk next to me, plugged into my D630 Win XP machine via USB2. Software setup is as easy as it gets. It prints almost immediately from energy saver mode, scans very quickly directly into Adobe acrobat, photoshop, etc via...

So far so good

Have not tested Linux functionality yet but will do so and post a follow-up. This replaced a Lexmark Optra series printer I have in my home office. For it's footprint I really can't imagine a better performing multifunction laser printer.

I used to service Laser printers back in the mid/late 90's and I must say this printer has been an absolute joy since day one. I don't think I've ever seen a better Quick Start guide for a printer. Very clear directions, covers network setup and...

Nothing I can think of right now
