Canon Pixma IP3000

The Canon PIXMA iP3000 is a photo printer that should be of interest even if you have no interest in printing photos. What's most intriguing about this $100 printer is that along with high speed and high quality for photos, it delivers extraordinarily...

Fast performance for both photos and business applications. Direct printing from PictBridge cameras. Duplex printing. Two input paper trays

No memory card slots. Graphics output quality is a bit below par at default settings

The Canon PIXMA iP3000 is the rare photo printer that boasts high speed for everything—photos, graphics, and text. Output quality varies from just short of good for graphics to just short of excellent for photos, which makes the iP3000 a good choice as...

Canon Pixma iP3000

Low price, high quality printing of text and photos

Ink is costly

Although the PIXMA's initial price is low, ink costs are steep. Overall this is a well-designed printer with high print quality, although our speed tests show it to be a good deal slower than Canon claims.

Canon Pixma iP3000

While the iP3000 is aggressively priced, we think it's worth paying a little more for a more capable inkjet.

Fast ; PictBridge compatible ; Dual paper trays

Slightly slower than the iP4000 ; Mediocre output
