While most will use this sitting on a table or desk, it can work from a wide shelf or even on the floor behind a sofa if the lounge police dislike the black colour. It can be connected via USB or by wireless meaning it need not be in sight.

Black and white texts quality is good. Scanning and subsequent storage to windows 8.1 photos is auto, but a lot of 40 scanned were too light requiring editing before uploading/posting. Still haven't sorted the wifi but that may be me ! recommended
