Canon PIXMA MG5150 inkjet multifunction printer

Canon's PIXMA MG5150 is a mid-level inkjet multifunction printer that sits below the Canon PIXMA MG5250 in the company's line-up. It is $50 cheaper th...

Cheap monochrome printing, costs less than the PIXMA MG5250 but offers similar features

Slow printing, mediocre document and photo scanning quality

The Canon PIXMA MG5150 is a mid-range inkjet multifunction printer that is a good choice for anyone looking to print monochrome documents on a low budget. It's not a fast printer and its scan quality is average at best, but if price is a concern the...

Canon PIXMA MG5150

An all-in-one inkjet with duplex print, twin paper sources, card slots in abundance and a large LCD display, all for £72.

Great photos, good pint quality ; Excellent value ; Good overall printing speed

No WiFi ; Very slow duplex printing ; Slightly high running costs

Canon's PIXMA MG5150 is an evolutionary printer, offering nothing particularly spectacular over the equivalent model from its previous range, but is still one of the best mid-range, all-in-one machines available today. Duplex may be slow and running...

Canon PIXMA MG5150 review

Reasonably priced yet feature-packed, the MG5150 ticks nearly all the right boxes

Great for both photos and document output ; Good range of standalone printing functions, including document printing of PDF files from USB flash drives or memory cards ; Neat range of photo enhancements for direct printing from memory cards ; Smart...

No Wi-Fi connectivity makes printing from laptops a bit of a pain ; Can't print onto white-faced CDs and DVDs ; A little slower than many Canon printers and takes twice as long to print photos as the iP4700 or MP640 ; Glossy black finish is prone to...

Canon PIXMA MG5150 review

The Canon PIXMA MG5150 is a mid-level inkjet multifunction printer that sits below the Canon PIXMA MG5250 in the company's line-up. It is cheaper than the MG5250; the MG5150 has a lower resolution scanner, no Wi-Fi and prints slower than the more...

Canon PIXMA MG5150 review

Canon's PIXMA MG5150 is one of the cheaper multifunction printers (MFPs) around. You'd be hard-pressed to tell, though – it's built with the same glossy, expensive-looking plastics as the other two PIXMAs here, and it's one of the best-looking devices...

At this price it's hard to fault the MG5150. If you don't need network sharing, look no further.

Canon Pixma MG5150

This is an All In One (no fax) but I doubt if very many people still use that facility. This can scan, print and copy and while it is USB you only have to then convince the lounge police that black is the 2011 colour of choice.

Printing an A4 image or four near 15x10cm images on photo paper took 150 seconds from pressing print, the first 20 seconds was thinking time while the image was being sent to the printer, the output was perfectly acceptable. Printing a single 15x10cm...

Canon - PIXMA MG5150

Canon's PIXMA range of all-in-one printers has built up a solid reputation for sturdiness, style and superior quality usually at a very attractive price - and its current MG series continues the same tradition. Shiny black ...

If you're a sole trader or home worker and want an inexpensive multifunction printer that gives exceptional quality images while providing a host of ‘extras' like auto-duplex and two-way paper feeding, then the Canon PIXMA 5150 is a worthwhile choice.

Terrible

I've had this printer for over a year now and it's been nothing but trouble. Never have I been able to turn it on, press print and get my document. It is so prone to not working and I've now decided to throw it over a cliff and never buy a canon again....

Takes so long to get going, takes so long to think about printing, takes so long to decide there's a problem. It has never worked properly for me and I do not use it much as it is.

Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

Great machine, reliable and efficient.

We bought this to use at a conference then took it home. It coped with large volumes of printing and scanning without problem. I love the quality of the print jobs and it copes with different paper weight quite well. It's very convenient being able to...
