Canon Pixma MP450

The Canon Pixma MP450 is a basic all-in-one printer that delivers great features and performance for the price. We recommend it for home users and amateur photography hobbyists.

Inexpensive ; Offers media card readers ; Support for infrared and Bluetooth devices ; Great print quality

Not networkable ; Paper handling options are limited with only one input tray and no autoduplexing

Service and support Canon provides a one-year limited warranty for the MP450 all-in-one, which you can extend to three years for AU$99. You can also get tech support via e-mail, and Canon says it will respond within 24 hours. Canon's site has FAQs, a...

Does NOT work with MP210

Even though it is exactly the same size and shape as the -30 and -40 carts, and even though it fits perfectly in the printer, the printer does not recognize the -50. I found this out the hard way. Just a warning to all others who want to try it.

A good question

This is not a review, it a question that could be quite useful to a lot of people. I was wondering if this model have that chip to prevent generic ink cartridges to be used, because the MP500 has it, forcing you to buy the official expensive ink.

Soon to be purchased, but need more info

no at the moment

Expect this to jam your productivity.

At first this printer did wonders, scanned in conjuction with Apple's Preview software and with Photoshop and iPhoto. In that regard it's 8/10. As far as printing, at first it printed decently.. wouldn't recommend this for photos, unless you're willing...

Memory Card slots, fast printing, easy to use with a Mac.

Prone to error messages: paper jams etc.

The information states that you can not network this printer. If you know what you are doing it is possible. Right now I have the printer hooked up to a XP machine and I can print using a Vista laptop.

Good print quality

Canon Pixma MP450

It neverdid have heavy use, yet it started to act up. It refused to respond very often. slowed down very quickly if it chose to respond at all. I tried getting t to work wth Windows Vista - just hopeless! Spent days working on a solution. Got nowhere!

Great print quality

Good performer when new - then it's all downhill.... Now it's a piece of junk, after just one year of moderate use

Canon Pixma MP450

I purchased my canon pixma mp450 through Apple. I was so amazed by how well this product worked for the first 12 months. Excellent print quality and fairly responsive. After that is was all up hill. I cannot use the printer at all. It displays a paper...

Worked for one year getting very little use

What good is having excellent print quality if you can't feed paper to print on? Not worth the money. Do the research and invest in something that will work without fail. That would be money well spent
