Service & support

Canon Pixma MP950

Excellent print quality, including text printing; autoduplexer; lots of features for photography hobbyists: media card reader, PictBridge and IrDA ports, and slide and negative scanning.

Not networkable; no automatic document feeder for large copy/scan jobs; poor LCD placement; no fax function.

The Canon Pixma MP950 is a near ideal photo all-in-one for an amateur photo enthusiast. The inclusion of fax and networking capabilities would've made it a must-buy.

Canon Pixma MP950

Photographers will love the MP950 for its film scanner, media card reader, and beautiful photo prints.

The Canon Pixma MP950 combines top-quality printing with many ways to capture images. It performs all tasks quickly, but its scan quality could be more consistent.

Canon Pixma MP950 Printer

The Canon Pixma MP950 is the ultimate printer/scanner combo for the serious photo buff--and its price is seriously high-end as well.

Stunning 3.6-inch color LCD screen ; Supports film scanning

Lacks faxing and an ADF ; Scan quality could be more consistent

Although the quality of the MP950's printed text documents dipped, it printed them at an astounding 8.4 pages per minute, while plain-paper graphics appeared at 2.4 ppm. Our sample photo printed on letter-size glossy paper in just 47 seconds. Scanning...

Stunning 3.6-inch color LCD screen ; Supports film scanning

Lacks faxing and an ADF ; Scan quality could be more consistent

The MP950 has a nice 3.6-inch LCD and great paper handling, and delivers quality text and photos. Scan results were mixed.

Canon PIXMA MP950 Printer

Two components in the electronics department bucking the miniaturization trend (accompanied by more and more power) are monitors and printers. The advantage of a large monitor is clear enough, let's say. But what about printers?C O N T E N T...

It's a big box, but the PIXMA MP950 does a lot of things, all of them well. I was disappointed not to have complete control over bit depth and image resolution while scanning. But you could also look at that as a convenience. And convenience is what the...
