Canon Pixma Pro-10 review

If you plan to put those digital high-resolution images you've shot with a DSLR onto paper, Canon's Pixma Pro-10 will deliver gallery-quality prints. Just don't expect it to be speedy.

Very good output quality when printing high-resolution image files ; Large capacity ink cartridges ; Three black inks can generate excellent monochrome prints ; Wi-Fi connectivity

Large and heavy ; No memory card slots ; Can only handle cut sheet paper, not rolls ; Speed is not its forte

A wide-format printer in general is a different animal from a standard photo printer. You can get exceptional prints from the Pro-10, but it’s going to cost you time tweaking the image and possibly doing multiple prints before you hit the right spot.

Canon Pixma PRO-10

The Canon Pixma PRO-10 photo printer can output gallery-worthy prints, and is an especially good choice if your photographic style tends toward the noir.

Outputs gallery-worthy photos. Especially good with monochrome photo printing. Excellent text quality.

Can't print from paper rolls.

Of the three Canon Pixma PRO printers, the PRO-10 provides the best balance of price, cost per milliliter of ink, speed, size, and image quality of the group. The PRO-10 is a touch larger than the Editors' Choice Epson Stylus Photo R3000, is...

The Canon Pixma Pro-10 is a printer aimed at professionals and dedicated enthusiasts who value beautiful photographic prints and want to make them themselves.

Outstanding print quality with pigment inks ; Bundled Print Studio Pro software’s Pro Mode makes expert color management easier than ever ; Wi-Fi, ethernet, and USB connectivity

Initial software installation process can be confusing ; Print Studio Pro printing app doesn’t work with Aperture

The choice is not an easy one. The Pixma Pro-10 costs more than the Pixma Pro-100 initially, and will continue to cost more with each print you make. And in most of my test prints, I found it hard to tell the difference between the Pro-10’s prints and...

Printer Review: Canon PIXMA Pro-10

Crank out handsome photo prints with Canon's second-tier 13-inch PIXMA printer.

Very good print quality with great color and realistic skin tones; good black-and-white print results; fast and quiet; built-in Wi-Fi option; easy set up

Fewer gray inks than the step-up model mean there’s less detail in the shadow areas; a large printer for just 13-inch output; no roll feed option

With its ten pigment inks, the Canon Pro-10 is the step-down model from the bigger and, it should be said, better 12-ink Canon Pro-1. The Pro-10 is still a high-quality, 13-inch printer that might attract pros looking to save a few bucks. (It’s $300...

Canon PIXMA PRO-10: A 13x19” Pigment-Ink Printer

Canon's 13x19”-sized printers, the PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II and PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II, have had a longer life than most, but have been replaced with two new models that are similar to the PIXMA PRO-1, introduced over a year ago. New features on both the...

Canon PIXMA Pro-10

A desktop A3+ printer for enthusiasts who print occasionally but require high output quality plus Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity.

The PIXMA Pro-10 is a competent performer that can produce very nice-looking prints in both colour and monochrome. Unfortunately, it fits into a unique slot in the current market, so there's nothing to compare it with. The closest match is Epson's...

Canon PIXMA PRO-10 A3+ Printer Review

The PIXMA PRO-10 replaces the PIXMA Pro9500 MkII and features a 10-ink pigment-based system with Chroma Optimizer, making it ideal for semi-professional and serious amateur photographers looking to work with a wide range of media. The PRO-10 boasts...

Easy Wi-Fi setup, CD printing tray, Excellent photo quality colour prints, Decent black and white reproduction*, Quiet printing

Quite small ink cartridges, Not the quickest at printing full size prints, Expensive for a full set of ink (~£88), *Black and white prints have a very slight sepia tone

REVIEW—CANON PIXMA PRO-10]

This is the newest addition to the Canon range of pigment inkjet printers. It handles paper up to A3+ (32.9×48.3cm) and also prints on blank discs. It can use heavy art papers by opening up the back feed-through tray, which means the printer – which is...

Prints, both colour and black and white, are stunning. The rendering of fine detail is superb, even in difficult features such as a self-patterned black fabric ; DISLIKE: A borderless A3+ print on Platinum glossy paper was marred by mechanical roller...

A borderless A3+ print on Platinum glossy paper was marred by mechanical roller tracks, an effect not seen on prints with even a small border. The Australian price of ink cartridges is unconscionable – $21 here as against $13 in London, Hong Kong and...

For any serious photographer intending to make exhibition quality prints, even if only for the bragging wall in the pool room, the Pixma Pro-10 is a winner. It’s a pity that the cost of operation is so high in these benighted parts. As it stands this...
