Canon Selphy CP740

 

The Canon Selphy CP740 dedicated photo printer offers both a low initial price and relatively low running costs.

Low initial cost. Fast. Relatively low cost per photo. Reasonably high-quality photos.

Photos lose more detail in dark areas than with other printers. Preview LCD is only 2 inches. No battery option.

The Selphy CP740 prints decent 4-by-6 inch photos, but overall its irksome limitations outweigh its benefits.

Dye-sub printing produces continuous tones and colors ; Includes retractable USB cable

For many, the easiest choice when buying a computer is to listen to the salesperson and take the inkjet printer he/she offers as a package deal. But will it do all the things you want it to?

Most retail stores have a sliding scale for pricing, so the more you print the cheaper it becomes. Not only is it cheaper to print through a photo store, you also save time. Can you imagine sitting at your computer and printing out a hundred 6×4 prints?
