The Dell B1265dfw is a reasonably capable monochrome laser MFP for small offices, but its two-sided scanning abilities are weak, and toner costs are high.

One of our favourite all-in-one laser printers

Wireless direct print from mobile devices ; Multi-purpose feed slot ; PaperPort 14 included

Quite a bit slower than spec ; Unusual menu navigation ; Above average running cost

Dell includes a copy of Nuance PaperPort 14 with the B1265dfw to help manage your documents and provide OCR support when scanning. The scanner has a surprisingly high resolution of 1200ppi optical, enhanced up to 4800ppi.

The B1265dfw comes with a full set of print, copy, scan and fax modes, only targeted at low-output users. There's a simple 250-sheet paper tray in the base of the unit as well as a single-sheet feeder for specialist media types and a 40-page ADF on...

The Dell B1265dfw mono laser MFP will appeal principally for speed and text quality but it's hampered by expensive running costs and poor graphics quality.
