Review: Dymo DiscPainter

In these times of omnipresent MP3 players and streaming music sites, we don't find ourselves burning too many CDs, let alone printing labels for them....

Robust, easy-to-use design software for Mac and PC for adding patterns, shapes, photos, and text. Variable quality settings (up to 1200 dpi). Ink dries quickly. Minimal warm-up time. Compact. No buttons. Nearly covers entire surface of disc

for replacement 4-color inkjet cartridge (100 discs using default settings). Takes an average of two minutes per disc. Quality is slightly grainy at default setting; concentric circles visible at highest setting

Review: DYMO DiscPainter CD/DVD Printer

In the beginning of the DVD era, it used used to be just handing your client a DVD with a Sharpie-written title on it was good enough. These days, however, it's no longer enough that you were able to “magically” produce a stunning-looking HD video on...

Fast, easy to use, Above average print quality, supports hub printing and multiple media types

Some circular banding can be seen, more noticeable on some designs than others, a slight lean towards red in the hue

DYMO’s DiscPainter is the answer to many a video editor’s dream. It delivers an affordable way to deliver high-quality, one-off labels to clients without wasting valuable production time. While not able to deliver the quality of a professional printer,...

Test Drivin' the Dymo DiscPainter

This is the first time I've ever experimented with a CD disc painter before and I can honestly say: I'm hooked! If you ever need to make a batch of CDs — as a keepsake from a wedding, birthday, or party — personalizing each disc with an image, text or...

Dymo DiscPainter Review

A couple of weeks ago we got a hold of the Dymo DiscPainter which allows prints directly onto optical media. Before I even tested the unit, I had some things in mind. First, I was looking forward to it since I expected it to print high quality labels...

Dymo DiscPainter

Dymo DiscPainter is a departure from other CD/DVD disc printing solutions in that the DiscPainter specializes on CD/DVD media. It is dedicated to printing on CD/DVD media and case templates and nothing else. With that said, it makes a lot of sense to...

DYMO DiscPainter

If you regularly print CD/DVDs on a tray-based inkjet printer, you know the whole process is a little wonky - - which literally means crooked, off-center and askew. At best, these printers require patience and a couple of resets to print a disc. But as...

Dymo DiscPainter Review

MP3s and CD-Rs have revolutionized the mix tape culture, as the ease with which one can put a selection together and burn it via a single program like...

Though the $279 start-up cost of the DiscPainter destines it primarily for light commercial use, we think there's a fair degree of personal utility that can be had from a solid disc-printer. Our mix CDs are now guaranteed to stand out from the pack,...

Dymo DiscPainter Review

As with every other device these days that does everything, I expected the DiscPainter to be a multi this that and the other device. It's not, it just does direct application of your design printed right onto the surface of the disk. And it does it...

Very pleased with product

We are very pleased with this printer. The quality looks as if it came from a CD/DVD production factory. We are not a large production facility but for what we do as a small Mom and Pop business, it is perfect. I actually engineer and produce the CD's...
