Dymo LabelManager 280

The Dymo LabelManager 280 is one of the rare label printers that can either operate as a standalone device or print labels from a computer.

QWERTY keyboard. Rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Can print from a computer or as a standalone device. Relatively inexpensive.

Non-backlit screen is hard to read in poor lighting. Maximum label width is a half-inch. Limited selection of labels. Can only store 9 saved labels.

The Dymo LabelManager 280 gives you the versatility of being able to be used either with a computer or as standalone device. Although it lacks some of the features of other such label printers, it comes in at barely half their price. And although it...

Pretty nice unit

Probably just as good as other label machines. Nothing special.

Label Waste. Seems to be a common complaint. No way to reduce the blank unprinted margins on both sides. The tape cartridge that came with unit was used up very quickly.

Nice Product, Tape is worthless

I like this labeler, it's comfortable to use and isn't difficult to carry with one hand.

The labeler tape D3 that came with this labeler is worthless. It doesn't stick to metal, plastic or pretty much any other surface. Maybe paper if you're lucky. Will be looking at my options to get other tape for it.

Pathetic inept design incapable of reliable operation

- The printing mechanism frequently jams, at least 3 out of 5 times the label fails to emerge and gets crumpled up inside and the labeller which has to be opened up and cleared of the jam. - It's not smart enough to know what width tape is in the...

The promise it could print labels

It can't print labels because the mechanism is of a fatally flawed design
