Epson PictureMate Flash 280 review

The Epson PictureMate Flash represents the top of the line in the company's series of personal photo lab devices. Yet the PictureMate Flash is essentially the same product as the Epson PictureMate Snap with the addition of a CD-R/RW burner. Print...

Prints quickly; print quality is good; a built-in CD burner makes backing up memory cards a breeze.

Pricey.

The Epson PictureMate Flash combines the great features of the PictureMate Snap with an added CD burner, but asks a hefty price. We don't think the burner's worth the extra $100, so go with the PictureMate Snap and pack a few USB thumbdrives instead.

Epson PictureMate 280 Review

The PictureMate 280 is supplied with a PictureMate Photo cartridge and 20 sheets of 10x15cm glossy paper. Ordering supplies is simple, as there are only 2 options. Picturepack 150 (29.48)...

We tried hard to like the Epson PictureMate 280, but ultimately there are more negatives than positives. On the plus side, the print quality is excellent when using the Quality mode, with...

Epson's PictureMate Flash PM 280 isn't perfect. Its print sizes are limited, there were a few paper jams, and the new industrial design leaves some people cold. But, what it does do, it does very well.

Good-looking prints ; Built-in CD burner ; Fast photo printing speeds

Industrial design ; Paper jams ; No prints larger than 4-by-6 inches

You can connect the PictureMateto your Mac via USB, but most people won’t. Printing directly from your camera or from your camera’s flash memory card is much more convenient. If you do opt to use your Mac, the printer plays well with iPhoto, and memory...

Epson PictureMate 280 Photo Printer

Epson continues to make great little photo printers for the aspiring digital photographer.

This is a very convenient, portable photo printer and Epson has worked hard to make it supremely easy to use. It would have been useful to have had the lithium battery included in the package, to make it truly portable, and some way of carrying paper...

Epson PictureMate 280

Forget about learning to use a computer in order to print out your digital shots. With Epson's PictureMate PM 280 you can browse, edit, enhance, print and store your photos without going near a PC or Mac.

Well no more with the new breed of photo printer that removes the need to familiarise yourself with the mysteries of computers. Instead you can just plug in your camera via a USB or put your memory card into one of the slots on the front and browse...
