Needed a parallel printer - fits the need

Due to equipment at our site only being a able to use a local parallel printer, we were searched high and low, finding the Epson C88 suiting our need! The print quality is ideal and the speed is average.

C88+

I have had many Epson printers and they have all been great ! this one is too so far.I didn't do my homework though, I can't get the ink status monitor to work with my Win 7 32bit system. My fault...

Clogs all the time

I used to be an Epson proponent, having a C88 and two all-in-ones on my desk at the same time, using them for a variety of purposes--sometimes all at once. The newer Epsons, including the C88, are clogged more often than not.

Good deal

I've used Epson printers for years and this model is great for the price, excellent print quality. Only pitfall is the paper jams a bit too frequently.

Good for maybe a year...

The ink cartridges are a little hard to find. If you live in a town without an office supply store, you might want to get an HP, or order ink online in bulk.

Nice borderless printing ; It looks nice on the shelf

Ink is expensive ; Runs through ink quickly ; Had for several years, and it has stopped working well. Printer heads need realigned every print, full black cartridge and it tells me that it's empty

Good price for average quality

I have had several Epso printers C64 and C84, and now a C88. They have been working well. I like the way paper in put in compared with the way HP paper charger are made. It allow me to put harder (or thicker)paper. Of course it's a medium quality for...

Easy to Refill With Simple Know How

Although I am hopeful that Newegg will publish this I am dubious that it will be listed on the reviews as it knocks the status quo of how printer manufacturers make their profit. Still, I think it's worth attempting to make a point here on behalf of...

This printer does a decent job of everyday printing and good quality photo work. What makes it more unique to the many other printers around is that it's one of the few left that will allow use of spongeless- see through cartridges and their very easy...

The cartridges use chips, which is Epson's way impediment to allowing the consumer to refill a cartridge. Fortunately a chip resetter easily circumvents that annoyance

Not Worth it... big waste of ink.

I would still buy an Epson Pro model printer, but this low end series is definitely not worth it. Please stay clear.

Inexpensive, cheap ink, easy to use

This printer seems great after you unbox it and print with it for a few days/ weeks. Then you notice the print quality goes patchy... clean the heads and its good again (wasting ink). Three days later, same thing happens- so you clean them again...

Good Printer

I gave my epson stylus cx4600 with inks like this c88+ to my mother and I wanted a printer80 bucks, freeshipping, cheap ink, epson get it.

Good, quality value. I buy printers nowadays based on ink price. I had an epson before with these types of individual ink cartridges and I could get re-manufactured ink online on the cheap{$4.xx per cartridge} and it worked perfect, same here

None and don't expect any
