Epson WorkForce 310 review

With all-in-one printer vendors competing to offer the most functionality at the lowest price, consumers are left with a difficult shopping decision to make. In a recent review, to the $99 Lexmark Impact S305 scored favorably with us, but we felt...

Best in class print speeds; inexpensive; all-inclusive control panel; five separate ink cartridges.

No Wi-Fi or autoduplexer; underwhelming photo quality.

The Epson WorkForce 310 is a cost-efficient all-in-one printer that gives you five separate ink cartridges with an automatic document feeder and a detailed control panel. Combine those features with its lightning-fast print speeds, and the WorkForce...

Epson Workforce 310 All-In-One Printer

Epson's Workforce 310 color inkjet multifunction printer gives small offices a cheap ($130 at this writing), fast, adequately configured machine. We blanched at its ink prices, though.

The high ink costs make this model less economical than it should be, but at least it's fast.

Epson WorkForce 310 All-in-One

Inexpensive all-in-ones (AIOs) in the Epson WorkForce 310 All-In-One's price class ($129.99 direct, which includes a standard 1-year warranty) have traditionally been aimed primarily at home use. The reason for this is simple, it's hard to build an AIO...

Fast for the price. Ethernet connector. Prints, scans, faxes, even over a network. Standalone copier and fax

Low paper capacity. Although acceptable for most business use, text is relatively low quality, even for an ink jet

Despite stumbling a bit on text quality, the Epson WorkForce 310 All-In-One (AIO) succeeds as a surprisingly capable package at an attractively low price.

Epson WorkForce 310 review – a business printer without Wi-Fi

The Lexmark Impact S305 is an overall good printer with affordable cost of $99, but it is not a true all-in-one without Fax to impress us. Now, the Epson has released a true all-in-one printer – $120 priced Epson WorkForce 310 that can print, scan,...

Five separate ink cartridges; all-inclusive control panel; inexpensive; good printing speeds

Underwhelming picture quality; no auto-duplexer and Wi-Fi

If you can work without Wi-Fi and auto-duplexer and need a fully capable office printer, then buy the Epson WorkForce 310 printer. For Wi-Fi, you can select the Lexmark Impact S305 but it lacks fax.

"Piece of crap."

Uses massive amounts of ink. Print quality is terrible. Epson support has been useless, totally non-responsive to my problems. I, also, will never buy another Epson product.

When I first got it it worked well as a printer, which is the primary function I use.

Over time print quality deteriorated quickly. Various colors - red - stopped working completely, even with new cartridge.

"The WORST printer and total waste of money!"

I will NEVER buy any Epson product again

Not a single one I can think of...

Jams frequently. one Color cartridge goes low and you can not print even in Black only! Horrible support from Epson

"Spent more on ink than on cost of printer."

Having two black cartridges does not make a difference. It uses ink like water. Even if you buy 'high yield' black cartridges, if one of the color cartridges is too low or empty, it will not print.

Prints fast. Print quality ok for personal use, somewhat acceptable for business use.

Ink, ink cartridges. The status monitor may show one cartridge as empty and one cartridge low (maybe 30%) ink left. You replace the empty cartridge and if you run a 'head cleaning', it then show the 'low cartridge' as being empty. Costly!

Just a word of warning stay away from refilled cartridges with this printer.

This printer is an inkjet printer. The first ink packet that came with the printer didn't last too long. I replaced it with a high capacity ink cartridge and have had no problems. The ink jets are working fantastic. Pictures show up with photoshop...

Takes an extended amount of time to print photos
