Would not buy again for half the price

 

Keep a set of gloves near this printer for when you go in rage and smash it off the ground. That should keep any ink from getting on your fingers.

I had this printer for about a year and a half. It worked well the first year because I barely used it

Paper would get stuck often, the printer would freeze up at times. The print quality highly diminished after light use

Excellent entry-level printer

 

With all the low-cost printers that typically have outrageous ink cartridge prices, getting replacements for these is actually not that bad. If you want a printer just for occasional print jobs without any heavy duty printing, I'd highly recommend...

Affordable compact printer, good driver support for all OS'es, fast print speeds, ink cartridges aren't that outrageous

Doesn't come with a USB cable, which is required for it to work. Why HP didn't spend a few bucks to include one is beyond me

This replaced an old HP DeskJet 890C which recently broke on me. It was about time because it was very old. This one prints much faster than the 890c, I can say that much.

Fairly fast printing from what I have tested so far. Also it is very compact, which is nice. Has software to monitor the printer with things like ink level

Sometimes being compact isn't so great. The only real issue I have is with the ink cartidges--they're so small! It looks like I will need to replace them more often than I'd like to. Also the HP printer monitoring software appears to have no settings....
