Encountered a major, reproducible text error; graphics quality needs improvement; expensive relative to some of the competition.

The HP P2015dn has the right features to make it a good fit for a small office or home office, but the competition offers a better printer for less money.

Warning..

Just a note on their support. It's laughable. I replaced the first broken printer through HP support. I paid MORE than it would have cost to just get a new one. (Boss wanted peace of mind) For this, I received a new printer without tray, or cables, or...

When it works... it's a great machine. Clean prints. Decent speed. Duplex is a plus ; Of our 4 printers of this model, 3 are working great. By great, I mean locking up only a couple times a week

We have 4 of these and they all seem to get a confused from time to time. One stopped working entirely and was just days past warranty. We replaced it with a new (not refurb) from HP through their program. 5 months later and it has also failed

Perfect for Ubuntu Linux

I've seen some reviews regarding faulty formatting boards. Hopefully that problem is not too widespread.

Not reliable ove the long run

The formatter board has a habit of failing on these units - manufacturing was switched from Japan to China. Google for "P2015 formatter Q7805-60002" to see the thread at fixyourownprinter.

Fast, compact, cheap; lots of interface flexibility, decent print quality
