This two pack is a huge savings over the lower capacity cartridge and a moderate savings over the single toner cartridge. It brings the printing cost down to under 1 cent a page.

not the HP quality that I'm used too

 

I've fixed a lot of HP printers in my day (I'm a certified HP LaserJet technician) and I have to say that I'm really disappointed in HP for the engineering that went into this printer, or lack-thereof.

Good print quality and tonal contrast. Integrated NIC. Nice web management interface

We have three of these printers in our warehouse environment and 1 spare and they're nothing but problems. List of problems thus far

The guy who thought the menu setup was awful and poorly setup obviously hasn't dealt with networked printers before. It is basically run of the mill HP style and to me it is set up logically and orderly. We assign ip addresses at my office and that was...

This thing is awesome. My adviser ordered 2 of these for the office and they print fast and in good quality. This is a great printer for a small office. We have about 6 people printing over the network and no problems. Set up was easy too

Ordered to replace a printer that was around 13-15 years old. Too early to say it works perfectly or will last a long time. We paid extra for the additional paper tray; Would be nice if workgroup printers had this standard, but hard to fault HP for...

Relatively slim profile compared to the printer it replaced. Installed two weeks ago for 8 employees to share ; So far no complaints

Careful! The Paper drawer(s) too easily pull right out of the machine when you go to refill paper. Not as physically sturdy as the 5Si it replaced (but then no printer is these days). Drawers stick out the back a few inches beyond the printer

Nothing but trouble

 

I should have known something was wrong when I bought this $900 printer for $450 (new). My HP 4000 printer from 1997 still works great...the 3005dn has major problems.

Looks great. Nice size, finish. Large paper tray, easy to operate menus

Setup is lengthy and often doesn't find the printer. It worked for 3-4 months, then went into a kind of intermittent hibernation. Wouldn't setup as a USB printer, dropped off the network when setup as a network printer. HP support is not. Worst printer...

Lemon

 

We have 72 of these printers, We have replaced 5 formatter boards in less than a year, some are on recall some are not. Plan to spend 45-60 minutes of your time on the phone with tech support to get it replaced.

Fast printing, Duplexs, good web interface with built in NIC

Formatter boards are prone to failures, Driver issues with Novell Client
