Laser printers are still one of the stalwarts of small and home offices, particularly when colour print isn't required. HP's LaserJet Pro M201dw comes in at comparatively low cost, while still offering a good feature set and a well-balanced specification.

Great everyday laser WiFi printer

I have been using this printer since 1/30/16 and it has been working like a charm. Setup was easy and straightforward. Machine has printed without any major or minor problems. WiFi is exceptional. Best printer that I have ever owned. Highly recommended.

Decent printer with some gotchas

Pro tips: - Plug it into a wired network to configure it. Don't mess with the front console. - DO NOT set a complex admin password, it will say that it saved it, but you will be locked out of the admin interface (the control panel also locks you out)....

- Fast warmup and printing - Small footprint - Wireless - decent pricepoint

- Poor documentation - Bugs in the web interface - Front control panel is basically useless

Surprisingly capable

It's not one of the good old HPs, but, for a newer, lightweight printer, it's good. This is suitable only for low-volume printing.

First page comes out quickly. It's not that hard to set up for Linux. Unlike older models, the setup software from HP works, and there's no need to do much manual configuration. That said, if you need to set it up manually, a USB cable can be used to...

No nonsense laser printing

This printer leaves my old setup of an HP LaserJet 4P and HP 300X DirectJet box in the dust. Printing is a joy again instead of a chore.

Fast printing, less than 15 seconds first page out from standby mode. Duplex printing. USB, Ethernet, and WiFi connectivity. Excellent front panel controls and web configuration pages.
