HP Photosmart C5180 Printer

For a network-enabled multifunction printer, the HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One carries an attractive price of $200 (as of 10/25/2006). It has a USB port in addition to built-in ethernet, but unlike many other similarly priced MFPs, it doesn't have a...

Ethernet port, lots of software ; Snapshot paper tray

Lacks PictBridge

The well-priced Photosmart C5180 has much to offer for printing photos and for sharing on a small network. It delivers high-quality glossy photos, but its plain-paper photo prints are not great

Service and support

HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One

Decent overall print quality and speed; built-in media card reader; inexpensive; lots of options for photo printing; network ready; support both Windows and Mac PCs.

No PictBridge port; limited paper handling; fewer task options than printers in the same price range.

The HP Photosmart C5180 is a perfectly acceptable photo all-in-one, but you can get more features and faster print speeds for the same amount of money.

Read a review of the HP Photosmart 5180 Multifunction printer.

The HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One photo printer offers good functionality at a competitive price. The control panel is clearly laid out, but the small LCD and poor menu colors and design make interface a less pleasant experience than with other...

Vibrant colour in photo prints, well-priced, built-in Ethernet connection, 2.4in colour LCD screen

PictBridge support is lacking, black looked slate-grey in our tests, colours looked dull on plain paper

The well-priced Photosmart C5180 has much to offer for printing photos and for sharing on a small network. It delivers high-quality glossy photos, but its plain-paper photo prints are not great.

HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-one printer

Just like the C4180, the C5180 is a neat and compact AIO that provides a comprehensive package of office tools for the busy home office user. It can print general documents quickly and allows you to print fair photo quality prints as well up to A4....

Small size, great price, easy to use, text output, Ethernet built-in

Photo output, scanner hood not vertically articulated, paper handling, copy quality

The HP Photosmart C5180 benefits from the six of the new long lasting Vivera inks and good scanning capability. However, the photo print quality, while better than the C4180, still leaves something to be desired but on balance is a slightly better...

HP Photosmart C5180

The HP Photosmart C5180 is reasonably compact and very stylish in its white finish.....

Fast scans, Stylish, LAN connectivity

Over-sharp scans, expensive

Overall the C5180 is a competent all rounder, but excels nowhere. If network plug ability is a must, it's worth a look.

HP Photosmart C5180

An excellent all-in-one, particularly when it comes to photo quality, but it's possible to get more features elsewhere.
