Really works wells with or because of CUPS drivers in printer mode. This thing really is a good network printer

HP drivers seem more like spy-ware than software that you can use. The auto feed is as lame as the cannon I tried. At lease Cannon's employees speak English. The work multi-function brings to mind the phrase "GOOD FOR EVERYTHING AND GOOD FOR NOTHING"...

Fax works. NewEgg.com is wonderful and shipping was fast

Loading the HP 3050 program for this printer causes my computer to become so slow, it is unusable. I've loaded, unloaded and reloaded many times with the same result. I am thoroughly disgusted with this piece of equipment

I have several of these machines in service for an extended period of time... all are working like a charm ; Unlike some other HP AIO printers I have, the utilities and drivers for this one seem to work fine. (At least under Windows XP)

IMHO this is not really a volume 'workgroup' device. I think of this as a 'heavy duty perssonal' machine, which I think is it's intended role

We purchased this for one set of our parents, after having purchased the older version, a LaserJet 3015, for the other. Even my dad can use its copying functionality

When receiving fax, it will drops call (due to answer machine on the line) Will not communicate in WinXP Pro as a scanner (firmware update ran and latest drivers installed) HP Tech support- useless, spent 3 hrs the first time, no resolution,NewEgg...

Easy set up. Vista drivers were available. Large capacity paper tray. Quiet, little warm-up time

NOTE - there is no built in hand-set, you have to provide your own phone for using voice. - but fine based on price and rebate

I actually really like the hardware, it's the support and software that really turn me off

Software including HPToolbox will not install in Vista Ultimate. It will under Vista Home Premium, or so they say. Wish I had known that before I purchased. Thats my bad. I can print, there's a hokey work around for scanning, but there is no fax...
