A box of tricks from the big name in printing

Easy installation ; Good print quality

No output tray ; Inserting photo paper tricky

If you have high-quality expectations, we'd suggest looking elsewere

HP Photosmart C4180 all-in-one printer

The C4180 is a compact All-in-one (AIO) device designed to produce fast general document printing but with the addition of an extra photo ink cartridge so you can print photos as well. The HP Photosmart C4180 is an AIO built to a price. The use of HP's...

Small footprint, great price, easy to use, compact

Best print mode is not "Best" enough, software installation provides problems, scanner hood not vertically articulated, paper feed reservoir only takes 100-sheets, paper delivery only 20-sheets.

The HP Photosmart C4180 is an AIO built to a price. The use of HP’s new long lasting Vivera inks helps, as does the good scanning capability.

While HP's strength in photo printing is once again proved, mono prints take too long and the scanner is poor.

If you're looking for a great Multifunction - Look elsewhere

The most frustrating printer I've ever had to deal with. As well as expensive ink cartridges, once inserted, the printer failed again and again to 'recognise' the NEW cartridge. I personally will never buy anything from the HP range ever again. A waste...

Had some real problems with my printer

I found significant issues with this printer, the quality of print wasn't up to scratch, the printer cartridges were expensive and I got lots of paper jams. Shortly after buying it, it stopped printing with yellow which resulted in a refund. What...

Good

This is a good overall printer, scanner and copier. It's sturdy and works well for a long time. The only downside is the amount of ink it uses

It's a scanner, photocopier and printer. It has a pop up screen to let you know what you've selected. Good, easy to use. Good scanning quality. You can insert memory cards (eg.camera memory cards) directly into the printer to upload and download...

It uses up quite a lot of ink. A new printer costs less than a new printer cartridge. The paper holder extender is easy to break.

Excellent

I'm very pleased with it. It does what it's meant to when it's meant to. It is as easy to use with a computer as without. Photos are excellent quality. Print speed is rapid. When I've run this one into the ground it's back to HP again for me. They...

I purchased this product because my last printer was worn out. I went to a HP product again, because I'd bought a HP Pavillion computer package previously and was blown away by their customer service. e.g. a friend spilt wine in the keyboard & when I...

It would have been nice to have included a fax, but then most people just email documents to each other these days, so not really a problem.

Nearly everything, excellent value for money, and a very very good printer!

Ink refills look as though they are expensive to retain the same quality
