Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One

Kodak's new EasyShare All-in-One inkjet multifunction printers aren't the cheapest in their class, but when combined with the company's paper-and-ink packs, they tout the prospect of printing borderless 4-by-6-inch photos for as little as 10 cents...

Print from media cards, USB thumb drives, Competetive ink pricing

Not the cheapest printer in its class, Photo colors are sometimes a little dull

This all-in-one's slightly high price is offset by competitive ink costs. Performance is fair, but photo quality can be very good.

Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One printer review

Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One printer

The Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One printer has decent-quality prints and scans, a dedicated photo paper tray, two USB ports, a large preview LCD, and inexpensive ink tanks.

There are big limitations on features: You can't edit or crop photos from this all-in-one's control panel; project software boots you over to Kodak's online site instead of helping you create projects to print at home; photo printing is four-ink, not...

The EasyShare 5300 printer is Kodak's attempt at creating an easy-to-use, inexpensive all-in-one machine, but we think the company went too far and dumbed it down to where it lacks many of the features that the competition offers.

Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-In-One printer

Kodak says that its EasyShare 5300 All-In-One printer can print for as little as half the cost of its competition. We put it to the test.

Low claimed running cost for both business documents and photos. Prints from cameras, memory cards, and USB keys.

Dulled-down colors when printing on plain paper. Software lacks settings to give advanced users full control.

Kodak Easyshare 5300

When Kodak announced its new EasyShare line of all-in-ones (AIOs), it garnered a lot of attention. Not only was Kodak venturing into new territory with AIOs aimed for the home and home office, it claimed its ink prices were low enough to cut printing...

The big news about the Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-In-One Printer is its claimed low cost per page, but it also delivers reasonably good output quality and photo print speed.

Kodak EasyShare 5300 multifunction printer

The Kodak EasyShare 5300's impressive performance in printing, scanning, and copying adds up to a solid all-around device, and the low cost to refill it with ink adds extra value. Despite the flaws in its scanner software, the EasyShare 5300 is an...

Excellent photo and graphic prints ; Control panel is user friendly ; Ink cartridges are inexpensive

Flawed scanning software ; Copies are oversaturated ; Relatively slow print speeds

If you'd like more options, Kodak provides two more models in the EasyShare 5000 series. The base model, the If you50 EasyShare 5100, sports the same features as the EasyShare 5300 except for the LCD screen and photo-card reader. The top-of-the-line...

Kodak EASYSHARE 5300 All-in-One Printer Review

For years ink jet printer makers like HP and Canon sold printers that used ink cartridges that cost more than many people pay for their printers. Kodak has recently added a line of printers that use ink cartridges costing much less than the...

Kodak EasyShare 5300

Read a review of the Kodak EasyShare 5300 all-in-one photo printer.

Initially, we had high hopes for the Kodak EasyShare 5300, with its highly touted, inexpensive ink and potentially better quality scans due to the addition of a CCD sensor. However, our hopes were not quite realized. The printer was slim on features in...

Getting the highest print quality out of the 5300 costs about 30 cents per photo, which is a pretty good result. And those ink prices may be hard to pass up.
