HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP review: HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP

HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP

The space-saving ; serves up professional-quality color documents with three-way network connectivity and cloud printing.

Print speeds are slower than average, and the lack of autoduplexing means more time and paper wasted.

The HP LaserJet Pro 100 is a solid color laser printer for personal use, but the high cost of consumables, slow print speeds, and missing features limit its productivity for home offices.

HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a

HP's LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a is a compact colour laser multifunction, but it's slow and expensive when printing colour.

Same black costs as equivalent mono printer ; Good quality prints and copies ; Low purchase price

Slow colour print ; Low-yield cartridges ; High running costs

This version of the printer has only a USB data connection, but there is a separate model which also offers cabled and wireless networking, too. Software support includes a copy of ReadIRIS Pro 12, a fine OCR application, as well as HP's own scan and...

"Not worth buying if you want to use it over WiFi."

Not really a good printer. Even after installing latest firmware (20131028), it still has the same problems. 1. You can't turn off the "power down" feature and the max. delay you can set it to is 24Hrs. So, when the printer powers down by itself (to...

Less expensive than most model of its category

Still has problems after installing the latest firmware (20131028)

Painful and slow: clunks and clicks all the time!

Really not as impressed with this as I should be. It was a reasonably expensive colour printer which I thought would be a worthy successor to my Canon inkjet. It is not - I could put up with the noise and the slow operation (it prints quickly enough...

Reasonably cheap to run compared with an inkjet. Good scanning ability and works as a photocopier. Wireless (once set up) allows multiple users to access the printer.

No duplex: just try reversing a pile of 30 sheets to discover it has sucked in the first 2 pages together... Unreliable ink spread on HP toner cartridges - some pale spots requiring an early change of cartridge Noisy and inelegant!
