X6170 All-in-One

Very inexpensive; has extensive fax capabilities; works well without a PC; includes automatic document feeder.

Prints extremely slowly; software bundle is limited.

The Lexmark X6170 adds a document feeder to standard home-office multifunction capabilities, but the device's sluggish printing speeds could slow you down.

Automatic document feeder takes copy and fax functionality to a higher level than most all-in-ones, Good print quality; foolproof front-panel buttons and software controls

Slow print speed; 100-sheet paper tray a bit skimpy

The X6170 works as a walk-up copier even without a PC, offering good pushbutton controls for enlarging or reducing copies (with zoom from 25 to 400 percent) and choosing darker or lighter contrast. Using copier paper, five perfectly adequate duplicates...

Excellent

 

The scanner is very simple and effective, much easier to use than my Canon MP500, though the Canon prints a much better quality of photograph. The printer does a very good job on office type work and it enlarges well. An excellent all round performer.

Scanner and printer very easy and versatile to use. Fax has always done the job well.

Cost of cartridges and the fact that they can only be refilled once or twice if you are lucky.

Good

 

I don't print often, however, when I do print I print a lot. This is definitely an ideal printer for this type of application. The incorporation of scanner and fax is a bonus for me as combined they occupy less space.

General all round device. Very easy to install and use.

Bit picky about faxes. Not always receiving them on a mixed ADSL,Phone,Fax line. Only seems to work properly with older style faxes.

Excellent

 

I am really happy with it. No problems with it. I printed pics from my 2 meg camera and they look fantastic.

Ease Of Use. Document Feeder. 5000 pages a month work load. Being able to use it with out turning on the PC.

Can't find any yet.

Excellent

 

As a printer it just cant be beaten for price, performance and quality. I even printed photos from a 2.0 mp Digital Camera and blew up to A4 no problems at all

Ease of use.. Print Quality.. All in one functions... Very heavy workload for inkjet (5000 pages per month)

nothing i can think off at all if you are looking for a all in one machine.
