Lexmark P350

Lexmark's portable P350 is inexpensive and easy to use, but its slow prints suffer from banding.

Affordable, Tough construction

Very slow printing, Banding hurts print quality

Green-tinged black-and-white print, narrow banding and slow print times make it hard to recommend despite the low price.

Lexmark P350 portable photo printer review

Lexmark's portable P350 photo printer brings snapshot printing into the home, albeit slowly. The $130 printer prints 4x6 photos at a pokey rate but with acceptable print quality for casual snapshooters. Although they cost a bit more, we prefer either...

Small, compact body; inexpensive; reasonable print costs; decent print quality; adjustable LCD.

Slow print speeds; limited image enhancements; included desktop software is limited in range; no battery option.

The Lexmark P350 snapshot photo printer is less expensive than the competition, but its slower print speeds and somewhat half-baked features make it less attractive.

Lexmark P350

The Lexmark P350 small-format photo printer improves on its less-than-impressive predecessor with water-resistant output and the ability to print from a computer.

Prints from cameras, memory cards, and computers. Water-resistant output. Uses paper up to 4 by 8 inches in size.

Photos scratch easily. Differential gloss on some photos reflects light unevenly.

Lexmark P350 Review

The Lexmark P350 is extremely easy to setup, taking less than 5 minutes from removing it from the box to being ready to print. The Quick Install poster is easy to follow, and the printer also...

The Lexmark P350 is a small, quite stylish compact photo printer which unfortunately suffers from slow operation and poor print quality. Having to wait around 2 minutes for a print that has...

Lexmark P350 portable photo printer

The inexpensive P350 marks a number of firsts for Lexmark—it's the company's first portable photo printer to work with a Mac and its first to use water- and smudge-resistant pigment inks.

Water-and smudge-resistant inks ; Works well with iPhoto ; Inexpensive

No battery option ; Undersaturated prints suffer from bronzing ; Relatively slow print speeds

Lexmark recently unveiled its latest printer in this category: the stripped down P350, for just $130. At this price, Lexmark will likely sell a huge number of them, but picky photographers would be better off paying a little more for a printer that...

Lexmark P350 review

Lexmark goes back to basics

Easy to use ; Decent colour ; Prints in 90 seconds

Inconsistent results ; Marginally improved build quality ; The detail in images lacks refinement

Lexmark's mini photo labs are getting better, but still don't quite beat the competition

Lexmark P350

Lexmark has an uphill struggle on its hands if it's to break the Epson, HP and Canon stranglehold on the home photo printers market. This is especially true for mini photo lab printers.

Easy to use, Decent colour, Prints in 90 seconds

Inconsistent results, Marginally improved build quality, The detail in images lacks refinement

Lexmark's mini photo labs are getting better, but still don't quite beat the competition

Lexmark P350

Of the compact models we tested, the Lexmark's styling is the most traditional with its boxy profile and simple detailing. It may not be exciting to look at but the P350 is extremely practical, with a small footprint reserving only modest desk space....

We have cause for concern over the print quality, speed isn't great and the Lexmark P350 is a slightly boring-looking piece of kit. Not exactly a vintage performance.
