All-in-one inkjet with Wi-Fi for less than £100

Low-profile design ; Twin paper trays ; Wireless with fast WPS setup

Too much pre-processing ; Low capacity main tray ; Large footprint

Connections are USB and wireless, with WiFi having a very easy, touch and go setup, if you have WPS on your router. The usual good suite of Canon support software, including My Image Garden, Creative Park Premium and Easy-WebPrint EX is provided.

A stylish and fully-featured MFP, but we're not sure about its wireless performance

A three in one printer, that means it prints, scans and copies. The black colour may mean it is hidden from ‘they who must be obeyed' when in the lounge but it can be connected by Wi-Fi and in fact can do extra things when in Wi-Fi rather than USB mode.

It is 43x36x16cm when closed; you will need a few centimetres more than the last figure to place items on the flatbed. It has two internal paper trays so while neither are huge this means paper can sit ready to be used within the size given.

With a plinth-like top, which houses the A4 flatbed scanner module, mounted on top of the box-shaped ink-jet printer unit, this product has dimensions of 455 x 369 x 148mm (W x D x H). The MG5450’s outer coating of lacquered black seems to want to...

Does what all printers do

CD printing is poorly designed, software is inadequate. I took the cd printing software from an earlier model and installed that to make it work. Will not print on 8cm disks.

Effortless set up and connection with Bluetooth wi fi.

A little slow on start up and shut-down as it runs through a check on start up and again on shut-down, which is fine if you have it on all the time but if like me you only switch it on when needed it can be a little frustrating.

Very easy to set up. It allows printing from I pad and from smart phones within the home wireless network, you can also print from anywhere outside if you download the apps to your phone, a very clever printer, it looks good

Price ink.

Canon Pixma MG5450

2 cassettes useful (1 for A4 plain paper & 1 for Photo paper). Works well with wireless connected iPhones, Kindle Fire & laptop & desktop ethernet connected to the wireless router. Photocopy produces good B&W & colour copies. Double sided printing good.

Noisy, even with Quiet Mode turned on. Very slow to produce 1st print on power up. Far too much time consumed cleaning the print head, which appears to be using a lot of ink. Some difficulty in initially loading the printer software on to the desktop...
