Canon Pixma MG5220 All-in-One Printer Review

The Canon Pixma MG5220 is a substantial color inkjet all-in-on that prints, scans, and copies well. It offers excellent printing on text and very good printing on photos. Not only are photos vibrant, but their archival life is quite long. The controls...

Solid

Good quality on everything I have used it on so far. Scanner functions. Wifi is nice. Generally speaking I despise all printers, but this one has not made me want to murder it yet, which is an accomplishment

Is not fond of my USB drives so I have to use my camera card to retrieve scans

Good for the price

I got this printer and setup was a breeze ; Follow the instructions and there's no problems whatsoever ; Pop in the installation disk and it will find your printer, just make sure it's on the same wireless network as your computer ; Printing and...

Works Well

I have yet to look up the price of the ink. The cartridges look a bit fancy, so I am assuming they may be on the pricey side. But I do not print very often. Mainly wanted a printer/scanner for convience, and this works well at a decent price.

Wireless - I love this feature since I have the printer at my desk and typically have my laptop on my coffee table ; Scanner - works well, although was frustrated at first because you can set different scan dimensions and it was cutting off stuff...

None so far. Set up was relatively straight forward. Takes a little bit of time, but easy

You get what you pay for

Glossy

This machine came out of the box with a paper jam. This confused me because I asked myself "This is from the factory. How could it have a paper jam if it has never printed?" The setup for this printer took hours, and the sum of 2 M.S. Electrical...

Why isn't this more expensive?

The ink cost is actually reasonable compared to others. And it is nice that there's some sort of monitor embedded in each of the tanks.

This printer has a lot of features and capabilities that I would have expected to pay a lot more for. I have not bought a printer in awhile but this printer is a complete package. I'm using it on an 802.11g connection using WPA2 security. The pc...

The duplexing is a little bit slow because the printer prints a page and then takes the page back into the printer with a feed mechanism that's slower than the rest of the printer. But it saves paper very well. It is true that there's no FAX capability...

Better than HP

I previously had a similar HP printer that had huge connection issues and would often print half a page and then would not continue printing anything until all computers and printer were restarted.

Easy to setup on wireless network. I am using a Windows 7 machine and newest OS Apple for the printer and they both worked no problem. Detailed instructions

Saw someone said it doesn't come with USB. This is true, but you don't need USB for setup if you have a network. And maybe other people are different, but I have at least 20 USB cords around that would have worked
