The Canon Pixma Pro-10 is a printer aimed at professionals and dedicated enthusiasts who value beautiful photographic prints and want to make them themselves.
Outstanding print quality with pigment inks ; Bundled Print Studio Pro software’s Pro Mode makes expert color management easier than ever ; Wi-Fi, ethernet, and USB connectivity
Initial software installation process can be confusing ; Print Studio Pro printing app doesn’t work with Aperture
The choice is not an easy one. The Pixma Pro-10 costs more than the Pixma Pro-100 initially, and will continue to cost more with each print you make. And in most of my test prints, I found it hard to tell the difference between the Pro-10’s prints and...

The Canon Pixma PRO-100 may be at the low end of near-dedicated photo printers geared to photo enthusiasts, but it still produces photos worthy of hanging in a gallery.

The printer is packaged in the usual Canon way - neatly with a lot of blue tape to remove, and with good directions, starting with the quick start installation guide.

So, which is the better printer - the pigment Pro-10 which was introduced at the same time, replacing the Pro9500 Mark II, or the Pro-100? It’s a very tough decision. If you do most of your printing on photo papers, particularly luster and gloss, and...

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 is an affordable option in an otherwise top-end range of photo printers.
Excellent support ; Affordable ; Great quality prints
Very slightly muted colors
The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 is a large-format photo printer with specs and features that let you print professional-quality photos at home.

High resolution ; Vivid colors ; Great dynamic range
Hard to set-up ; Big footprint

Crisp and clean photographs ; Color clarity is wonderful ; Wi-Fi enabled
Bulky ; My Image Garden ; Matte paper prints lacking

Affordable A3+ photo printing
Excellent colour and mono prints ; Relatively fast ; Substantial build quality ; Competitive price
Uninspiring quality on matt media ; Comparatively high cost of ink ; Dye-based inks less resilient
Canon Pixma Pro-100's real trump card is its price, much lower than the Canon Pixma Pro-1. Considering the print quality of the two is so close, it's difficult to justify spending the extra unless you need faster print times or often use matt paper.

A hefty printer that delivers immaculate poster-sized prints with superb colour accuracy. The best pound-for-pound printer we've tested

This A3+ printer uses eight dye-ink cartridges, including three black and grey inks for better monochrome printing. Canon's ChromaLife 100 inks have a claimed life expectancy of 100 years or more. The print resolution is 4800X2400, reproducing very...
Print colours are rich, deep and luminous. Detail resolution is superb, particularly the rendering of subtle fine detail in shadows and highlights. Print speed is good and the printer is surprisingly quiet ; DISLIKE: We are expected to pay $25 per...
We are expected to pay $25 per cartridge for inks while Americans pay $17. Please explain, as the lady used to say ; VERDICT: Serious photographers have a difficult choice to make between pigment and dye inkjet printers. Dye printers and inks are...
Serious photographers have a difficult choice to make between pigment and dye inkjet printers. Dye printers and inks are cheaper than pigment, and they produce prints of finer detail and vibrant colours, particularly on the best glossy paper, such as...
