Phaser 6128MFP

Xerox's Phaser 6128MFP color laser multifunction printer could be a good choice for low-volume users who have exacting color needs. It sells for a nice, low price ($599 as of April 6, 2009) and produces high-quality output--but it does so slowly, and...

Consistently high print quality ; Competitive purchase price

istently high print quality Competitive purchase price Cons Very slow printing text; pricey toner Limited paper capacity

Because of its sluggish performance, the Phaser 6128MFP is best suited for light use. The main paper tray holds 250 sheets, and you can't add further capacity. The tray feels slightly flimsy, especially when it's extended for legal paper. Instead of...

Xerox Phaser 6128MFP Review

The Phaser's 4-point Times New Roman output was hard to read, and its 8 by 10-inch photo prints were the usual slightly grainy (600 by 600 dpi), merely average quality that you'll get from any four-color laser as opposed to six- or more-color inkjet....

Xerox Phaser 6128MFP

A solid colour laser multifunction printer that can scan, copy, print and fax, and which supports secure printing.

Xerox Phaser 6128MFP review

It sells for a nice, low price and produces high-quality output - but it does so slowly, and at a high consumables cost.

No other colour laser multifunction printer in Xerox Phaser 6128MFP's price range can match its excellent output. If you need more speed or better options, check out this model's higher-end cousin, the Xerox Phaser 6180MFP.

XEROX Phaser Series 6128MFP/N MFC / All-In-One Up to 16 ppm 600 x 600 dpi Color Laser Printer

Really, Xerox? You call yourselves the "document company". Modern day email clients MUST support SSL/TLS, is it that hard? I had to setup a mail relay on our LAN just to scan to email securely. I don't understand why Xerox's website declares Linux is...

Nice prints, seems stable

Slow, seems large for what it does, no second paper tray, difficult to use, no twain over network, requires usb and windows to setup a pitiful excuse for network scanning, scanner not recognized in linux and no linux driver available, does not support...

You would think it would work out of the box

If you're a big greasy corporation with service agreements with Xerox this should be fine, but if you're a consumer or small business don't waste your time with this money pit.

It looks nice

I've owned this printer for over a month now and it hasn't printed a single page. I've RMA'd just about every component on this thing and it still only prints blank pages. I've replaced the toner cartridges, imaging unit, laser, belt and fuser. Still...

Makes Me Happy

At first I had some trouble getting it to work on 32-bit Ubuntu. I eventually figured it out. I'm worried if I switch to 64-bit Ubuntu I'll never get it to work. Here's what worked for me to set it up on Ubuntu: Insert "Software & Documentation" CD...

I'm a freelance software programmer who bought this for my home office and overall I'm very happy with my decision. I use it to print from linux and windows machines, make copies, and scan to FTP (to a vsftp server running on my linux machine). I've...

That said, there is room for improvement ; Linux support could be much better ; Not great for printing photos (not really a con since that's not what it's meant for) ; For the price I wish it had double-sided printing ; There's no way to set the...

Perfect

The kids need a step ladder to see the display and use the copier.

For the Macs, bonjour found and installed the printer in seconds. For the PCs downloaded bonjour first. Very easily hooked up the email addresses for PDF scanning. Everything works; this printer replaces the Epson CX11n. Shipping was fast; Newegg rocks

None that I can think of

Not a good start...

After having spent $700 for this printer (with extra toner and 2 yr warranty), I would've expected it to at least come with a power cord. I expected more of Xerox especially. Instead of being able to use it as soon as it arrived, I now have to wait a...

Solidly built

Didn't come with the advertised components ; No instruction manual ; No power cord ; No key templates ; No driver CD's ; All these items were pictured on Newegg as being included
