Awesome Printer (If you jailbreak it)

I got mine for $350 shipped. Ran stock firmware/software for a few weeks then voided warranty and used Repeteir Firmare thanks to Voltivo!! I use $12 filament spools (Full 1 kg spools) and get pretty good print quality at .2mm. You will have to do some...

Low cost DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU PLAN TO HACK THE FIRMWARE 5 star based on the printer potential, if hacked. As-is I'd give it a 3 star Can be great if you modify to Repeteir Firmware allowing: -Using any brand filament (cheaper) -Full control of...

As-is, this printer does not have very good print quality. All the XYZ software is very limited and gives very little control. Do not buy this unless you plan to hack the firmware, which is pretty easy to do with an Arduino. I had to rewire the X-Axis...

Good printer, but terrible support by xyzprinting

The lack of customer support would cause me not to recommend the product. If support is not required, then the product is a good deal for the price.

Easy to operate. Supplies are economical.

Removing printed objects from heated glass platform can be tricky. Glass pitted during one print job. Fortunately, I opted to replace the glass with one I purchased elsewhere as I have found the XYZ printing customer support is almost non-existent. I...

Best Bang for the BUCK!

Now i'm going to flash repetier on my XYZ Davinci v1.0 on firmware 1.1.J since now my warranty expired to bring out the full use of my freshly installed E3D-6v on my 3D Printer Great Buy!

This printer now prints in PLA/ABS/Flex/Many more... what more can you ask for a $500 3D printer I never had a problem with my Davinci.

Manufacturer wants you to buy THEIR filament I say NOPE I bought a Reset tool fix that little problem.

Impressed

Not impressed by the QC process at the factory. When I got the printer, it would not detect the cartridge that came with it. I spent an hour "removing and reinserting" it like their website says to do when it says it can't see the cartridge. After...

Much higher resolution than expected. Easy to set up.

Bad QC bythe factory

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Good price of entry level

Customer service is HORRIBLE! The printer has been down for 3 months and I have been waiting on a X motor wiring harness with the same reply from customer service "The parts department will contact you with a tracking number". 3 months later and no...

Great for the price

The da Vinci is a fabulous value for the dollar. However, be aware that many/most of the machines are less than optimally adjusted upon delivery. Before buying, check out some of the online videos on people adjusting their machine, and make sure the...

Enclosed build area Beginner friendly Hackable Large user community

Proprietary Needs adjustments before it will print well

Decent entry-level printer

The glass bed is not heat tempered. It is just standard photo frame glass on a heating circuit. Mine started chipping after a week. Replacement heat beds are $60 and constantly out of stock. You should take extra time to let the entire thing return to...

The best thing about this printer, no assembly required! Remove a few supports and packing material, and the thing is ready to go. Drop in a cartridge, feed it through the hole and into the extruder body, tell it to load filament, and you are literally...

This printer is no for advanced users who want full control. The software is limited to basic rotation and moving of the model, some rudimentary scaling, and preset variations in settings. You won't have the ability to fully adjust settings to you...

Impressive! Impressionnant!

Livraison ultra rapide. Seulement 2 jours! Imprimante étonnante vu le nombre de mauvais commentaires. Ils ont probablement corrigé les problèmes. Très silencieuse comparée à un Cube3. Prix abordable. Very fast delivery. Only 2 days! Impressive...

Mes cercles n'étaient pas parfait. J'ai du ajuster la tension des courroies. Le plateau chauffant est très bien mais on doit attendre qu'il soit chaud pour commencer l'impression et c'est assez long (3-4 minutes). Circles were not round at first. I had...

Hardware Gets 4 Stars

Worked out of the box after fixing a belt that had jumped a tooth on a drive cog for the Y axis. Half of the purchased filament cartridges have jammed from the filament tangling inside. For routine issues (and there are many with consumer-grade 3d...

Good build quality Great price Well packaged Good third party user support

Proprietary filament Filament jams in cartridge Proprietary desktop slicing and control software Proprietary printer firmware Poor support

Amazing Printer for the Money

These are great printers if you get a cartridge resetter device and reset your empty cartridge. Then you can use bulk 2.2lb reels of filament and save a fortune over the 600g cartridges that often show empty while still containing filament.

Price point, Build size, A huge community of devoted owners who provide a wealth of knowledge.

Cartridge filiament, an easily damaged thermistor on the side of the extruder head under a glob of silicone (LEAVE IT ALONE) Also don`t update the printer software or the provided XYZ software. You will lose your ability to use the cartridge resetter...
