BenQ Joybee GP2

The Joybee GP2 makes a good case for itself, if you need a projector that's affordable, has a good mind for business and is acceptable for casual use.

Highly portable. Decent image quality. Optional battery pack.

Blown out highlights. Tinny speakers.

BenQ Joybee GP2

The BenQ Joybee GP2 is a likable palmtop projector that can show input from a computer, iPhone, video source, SD Card, USB memory key, or its own internal memory.

Highly portable. Reasonably loud audio. LED light source with 20,000-hour lifetime. iPhone dock. Shows photos, presentations, and video from USB memory key. HDMI port.

Quality problems with both data and video images.

BenQ Joybee GP2 Mini Projector Preview

Almost every complaint we had with the BenQ Joybee GP1 was addressed with the Joybee GP2. If you thought the BenQ GP1 sounded like a good deal, for $50 more, the Joybee GP2 is an absolute steal.

BenQ Joybee GP2 Mini Projector - Compact HD-Ready Projection

The BenQ Joybee GP2 is an ultra portable mini projector which weighs about 565g, and, like the GP1, sports a dual-color design, with a black top above a white body. How will this mini projector fare? We find out.

BenQ Joybee GP2 Review

For a portable projector, the BenQ Joybee GP2 is an excellent package. We liked the overall performance, the USB port for direct media playback and the additional dock for an iPhone or iPod Touch. The fact that you can use it off battery power means it...

Good video reproduction quality, HD content looks brilliant, Plays most media formats off a USB / SD card, iOS device dock is a value add for some users, On-screen UI that works, Surprisingly punchy speakers

Lack of crispness with SD content, Black levels are not very deep, Shift to mini HDMI is weird, Heats up quickly

Small size ; Comprehensive inputs ; Detachable battery
