Hands On: SIM2 Nero 3D Projector

The Nero from SIM2 narrows the gap between single-chip and three-chip projection with its dazzling images and 3D.

Excellent black levels, vivid whites ; Strong shadow and fine detail ; Nice 3D depth

Remote operation is quirky in saving settings ; 3D glasses can be uncomfortable

Sim2 Nero 3D-1

Sim2's new Nero 3D-1 may cost less than half as much as the brand's award-winning Lumis 3D-S, but it's still a mighty fine 3D projector

Amazingly clean 3D performance ; Outstanding 2D performance ; Excellent and surprisingly small design

SIM2 Nero 3D-1 review

So far as I'm concerned, only one home cinema product to date has really and truly nailed the 3D movie experience in the home. SIM2's Lumis 3D-S was essentially perfect, delivering a rich, sharp, detailed, colourful and completely crosstalk-free 3D...

Delicious chassis design; 2D and 3D picture quality is awesome; good set of calibration tools

Rare and subtle appearances of the rainbow effect; runs a tad noisy; UI isn’t very intuitive

Sim2 Domino18

Tall, dark and Italian. That seems to be what some women seem to think is the ideal mate. In the case of the Sim2 Domino 18, some blokes might start to think the same

The Sim2 range of projectors is extensive, from business oriented LCD projectors, through to various lines in the DLP home theatre market (Domino and Grand Cinema) through to even a CRT projector and rear projection TVs, Sim2 seem to have most aspects...
